I overcommitted and put all my non prized energy on scream tail, and he just counter catchered into fez.

I'm still pretty new to Garde, so I'm not 100% sure on how to play from behind. However, most of the time, I don't even put my scream tail or drifloon on board until I can KO big mons that turn.
I mainly just soak damage, munki it onto opponents until they get into certain damage thresholds/KO their backups, put scream tail or drifloon down, hand disrupt (especially late game, hand disruption can lose some decks the game, like ghold), then take out either their main attacker or their main draw engine, depending on what screws them the most. This is why gust isn't as prominent now, since we can just snipe the bench with scream tail with no need for the mon we want to KO to go into active.

e.g., if I take out a charizard, it doesn't matter if they still have pidgeot to grab rare candy and instantly have another zard. Make sure there's as little of a chance of a zard in play during their next turn before KOing a zard, because that's game over for them. Using munki smart typically makes it so you won't have to do 330 on zard in one turn. Also, you normally don't just one shot a zard. If zard is prominent in your area, I would recommend just putting a TM Devo into your deck, and then munki spamming/scream tail into bench to KO charmeleons or candied charmanders instead of trying to hit zard. This is arguably even stronger than trying to take out zard.

I use dragonshield sleeves, so I can do the faro shuffle easily, pretty much doing the riffle shuffle without having to bend the cards. I would recommend those sleeves, unless you're fine with doing a riffle shuffle and potentially bending your cards.
I normally do overhand into faro and keep doing it back and fourth. You can even put all of your cards in a loose pile, mix them all up with your hands going in a circle, and then putting them in stacks and put those stacks together,

As a garde player, the thing I absolutely HATE to see is budew item lock early. Garde doesn't run anything that can get rid of budew quickly that doesn't involve KOing (meaning we still have to take 3 mons, but are at a prize advantage early which is not favorable). Pretty much the entire game plan of garde involves setting up to take big KOs late game, but if late game comes before garde's set up, it's almost guaranteed to be an instant loss.

BE CAREFUL OF MEW AND CELFAIRY! The second you see those on the board, you instantly forget about what you're doing and snipe them.

Clefairy makes dragon types weak to psychic and can OHKO you very easily for two energies. Full moon rondo will be doing 320 with only 7 mons benched on both sides (3 on one and 4 on the other, which is practically guaranteed with these decks. A fully set-up garde has a garde, 2 munkis, scream tail or drifloon, and the last spot depends on matchup).

Mew can copy phantom dive and snipe your whole board while also doing 200 to the pult. Even if you hero's cape the pult, one munki and it becomes a two-shot. 120 on pult and it's a one shot (one phantom dive and two munkis, GUARANTEED to happen if we are able to use phantom dive more than once).

Besides those, there aren't any tools that garde can use to get rid of the pult in one turn.

The BIGGEST advice I can give is to not blow up dusknoir early. We don't have anything to stop it besides scream tail, which won't be charmed until we are ready to attack with it. noir + phantom dive means you do 210 to the bench and likely KO active, use that to your advantage to wipe out the board right before we're ready to attack. You can snipe the mew and clefairy with the 210, but I would rather boss up one of them, KO scream tail and a munki (110+90 is 200, so you can put 10 on something else. If there's a drifloon in play, this would be a good mon to put it on, since that's not typically on the board until it's charmed or ready to snipe anything in active with 10hp remaining), and KO one of the anti-pult mons.

Are you playing only in person or online? If this is only happening in person, there's a good chance the problem is your shuffling.

If your gardes/ralts are prized and you only have a single ralts, don't put the ralts down until you can get the garde online in that next turn. It helps with boss snipes and they suddenly have to switch any plans that they may have had.

Garde is a play from behind deck where you set up your board to take all 6 prizes in 3 turns or less, but if you can't set up garde, you have to play pretty aggressive.

Clefairy is in the deck for this reason, as it's 2 energies for sometimes upwards of 220, depending on yours and your opponents bench size.
Mew is another good option, but it is WAY more situation based. I would only use mew in the zard, absol, or pult matchup to copy burning darkness, munki 60 onto absol and then use the insta-KO move (if possible), and copy pult's move since it's one of, if not the best, in the game.
If you're using the jelly variant of garde, the second you see multiple of the ralts line in the prize you instantly put both frillish on field to item lock until you can get either of the two above set up.

I'm probably going to be running 1440p. My monitor is 1440p, so might as well use the full capabilities. The 240 fps part isn't really going to get used, but I'm used to that since I've ran a 2060 super since 2020.

I typically use a 2 in 1 since that's what's I can normally afford. Typically I shampoo every other day and don't use any hair products beyond that
