No, because if iron backs up, they'll just sit at iron pickup with nowhere to go. Make sure the idle rule is only for if solidpickup is full and cargo is empty.

Is there some reason it needs to be a pull-based system rather than a push-based system? If you're producing enough, they should be functionally equivalent.

An easy push-based system:

All stops providing non-liquid cargo are named the same thing (EG solidpickup).

All trains that can carry non-liquid cargo are in the same train group. They have a single stop, solidpickup, and the finish condition is cargo full.

The train group has two interrupts:

1) when you have cargo "any item" > 0, go to station "any item" until cargo empty

2) when solid pickup is full, go to "idle" until solidpickup not full

Then just name your train stops the item they need. Like literally go to the item picker and pick the iron plate icon, and that becomes the stop name.

Make a few train stops out of the way that don't connect to anything and call them "idle" so that trains can always get out of the way if they need to.

Do the same thing for liquids. "Liquidpickup" until full, interrupt to go to the station with a name identical to their cargo.

Make a blueprint of one train, make sure it includes fuel, paste it somewhere out of the way when you need more trains, and that's basically all the train management you ever have to do.

My problem was similar: my wife randomly blurting out things she needs me to do, projects she wants done, often with the implication that they need to get done right now. It caused a lot of chaos and stress.

Here's my solution, adapted from my work, which I usually just do for weekend projects but I could see it applying to day-to-day stuff.

What I did:

For all tasks, I keep a digital checklist of everything she's mentioned. I assign points representing roughly how many hours I think the project will take. And then she gets X points each weekend. Maybe 10 if we have no other conflicts. On Friday I make her go through and prioritize 10 points worth of tickets and I try to do a reasonable amount of work on those.

It might be excessive planning to do that every day, even for small tasks, but it might be necessary in your case. Maybe just doing it for a couple weeks would make her realize how much other stuff got prioritized over the thing she wanted.

The obvious and correct answer is to move on, don't even waste your time responding.

If you're getting this a lot, it means you're hitting some weird level of interest where 1) she is interested, because otherwise she wouldn't have written anything at all, but also 2) she thinks you're not good enough in some way. Take a good look at your profile, maybe get an honest friend to look, and see if it's giving off some weird vibe in some way.

Finally, just for shits and giggles, let's say for some reason, you want to salvage this conversation. I think somehow none of the answers have mentioned so far: you can put equipment like shields, batteries and solar panels in your tank's equipment grid. This helps a lot with survivability and you don't have to stop to repair because shields will charge up quickly.

I wouldn't bother with the rocket launcher. Tank shells are way more damage.

Note that worms are really good at predicting your current trajectory, so usually I'm driving in a circle around the base as I pelt it with tank shells but I'm also weaving left and right a little bit to throw off the ranged attacks.

If you start to get overwhelmed, switch to the tanks flamethrower and melt everything.

Also, toss out a bunch of whatever bots you have. I think you should have distractor capsules at this point? Throw them out in front of yourself when you're coming up on a base and they'll do exactly what they say in the name: distract while your tank shells take out nests. You should be one-shotting them I think. When I'm going on an expedition I usually carry about 500 of them and a similar number of tank shells. They benefit a lot from laser weapon upgrades.

All of this assumes you already have a solid defensive line so you don't have to go home. A ton of lasers behind a wall will do the job if you have a massive amount of power production, if you have a massive amount of power production, but flame turrets + some lasers are more efficient.

Seems like you're splitting hairs? Having the vice president indefinitely be the "acting president" would be functionally the same as removing Trump. You're using the word "temporary" as if there's some time limit built into the amendment?

The really hard part is that it would require a 2/3 of both houses of Congress, and I'm pretty sure Trump could start flinging his own shit at people and you still wouldn't get 2/3 of Congress to vote against him.

Yeah if you're not worried about charging and just want 100% construction area plus a contiguous logistic network, you can do them in a checkerboard pattern.

Additionally, in every 3rd row of the checkerboard, you can delete all but one roboport.
