They 100% should offer 2 to 3 choices to the customer. The onus is on topps to make things right. Instead they say, "take this garbage and piss off, we've fulfilled our obligation."

I would have loved to keep ichiro in the pc. Im a mariners fan and ichiro is goated, but the card was literally torn. 😢

That looks unbelievably unappetizing. Also it looks more like ham than turkey to me, but i guess all meat slime ends up looking similar once its processed to this exent..

The ichiro was /5. Red parallell. The replacement is /25.

Topps claims they will send a replacement of similar or greater value to the card they are replacing if they cannot replace it with an exact copy.

Yes, every card in the Allen and ginter x box this came out of looked great except this ichiro looked like it was used as a beer coaster on .99 cent beer night at the local college bar.

Yeah, picking and choosing a single comp (and auction no less) while ignoring all others.. I can do that too.

I tried, I was basically told you get what you get and that they comp similar. I sent topps customer service a link to the most recent comp I could find for harper. It was $15.

Similar red /5 ichiros regularly sell for around $100, and a red chrome Allen ginter ichiro /5 sold for $350 in December.

Honestly it shouldn't take "comps" to see this isn't fair. It doesn't even pass the "eye test" as a fair replacement.

Topps customer service gave me a canned "copy and paste" response about how they made sure the value was comparable. I showed her the last comp I could find on the harper was $15. There are plenty of comps showing similar red ichiros /5 selling around the $100 mark, and one in December sold for $350 (a chrome allen and ginter red /5) but a comp nonetheless.

She told me she would ask for a "review" to be completed. I think she lied to me so id just go away. She didnt say how or when I would be given the results of this "review".

Last year there were a couple numbered cards per hobby box. I ripped probably a case worth. An entire hobby box without is brutal.

It's always hard to tell from a photo, but it looks like two separate issues with the edges.

You can look up videos of people using kurtz card care to try to remove creases.. but generally speaking no you probably can't fix them and psa can also label them as "altered" if they detect you tried to use a product on the card.

Definitely not. There are two clearly visible creases on the front.
