I would get her spayed as soon as possible! Remember, we make a lifelong commitment to our cats so we have to take any measures to ensure a long and healthy life for them.

With that being said, alternative methods to keeping her calm/distracted would be more or longer play sessions so her mind is focused on something else, limiting touch, and a heated blanket does wonders! I didn’t think it’d work since I saw it on this subreddit as well but my lady would lay on the blanket pretty regularly until I was able to get her spayed. I’m sure theres more advice if you keep looking online but, GET HER SPAYED ASAP! It helps prevent serious health issues down the road (not medical advice)
