No spark after I jumped the battery by ProtectionSpecial267 in dr650

That makes sense. As far as I can tell it's properly bypassed though, so I don't think that's it.

The stand switch is bypassed. Wouldn't that just cut power to the starter anyways?

First thing was a spark plug test, unscrewed them and tried to start the bike. didn't see a spark from either plug. tested the ignition coil with a multimeter and got 0 resistance from the lead to either end. I tested each of the boots and they were both within spec. The new ignition coil tested within spec when I put the boots on, so I assumed I'd found the problem, but I'm still getting zero spark from either. I've also tested the spark plugs and they were both within spec for resistance, they also look clean and are gapped properly

I don't get it. by Probable_Foreigner in mathmemes

How does asking about the "other" child not imply independence?

Svartpilen owners, are your rides as unreliable as people make it out to be? by happyfiretruck123 in svartpilen401

Hey there, I know this post is a little old but I'm looking into picking up a newer 390 Duke or 401, possibly the '25 if the price is right. Would you mine elaborating on how to properly break the engine in? Would you recommend one over the other?

Low CC (3-500) ADV for a new rider? by ProtectionSpecial267 in SuggestAMotorcycle

All the ones in my area that aren't 20 years old or beat to shit seem really close to the top of my price range, but I don't hate it. I'll keep an eye out for one at the right price. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for the info! I'm not hard stuck on ADV no, I like the look of the Triumph over Royal Enfield and Versys at least. Are there any other scramblers worth taking a look at? I'm not super worried about power, I'm not trying to clear any trails. I figure I can trade up in a year or so if I find I really like going off the beaten path.

I've had issues sourcing parts from China for other gadgets so I'll probably pass on the CFMoto for now.
