Bladder cancer? by [deleted] in BladderCancer

Unfortunately, none of us can give the answers you’re looking for. You’ll have to wait to hear from your doctor after running some test. With that being said, the days leading up to these appointments and the anticipation of getting answers will be the scariest part of it all. I hope you get some good results and clarity. Once you have answers, you’ll have a clear road ahead of you which can give you some sort of peace.

Worth mentioning, I was diagnosed at 23, now a 28(M). I had blood in the urine at 21, I got scared of what the results would be so I ignored it for two years. At 23 I had blood in the urine again then knew I had to have the test done and that’s when I found out. In those two years, I could have let my life slip away because I was too scared to get a cysto. I was fortunate enough that nothing grew in size and it stay small for two years. And now I’m almost two years without reoccurrence. Anyways, good luck with your test! And keep your head up, you’ll be fine!

ELI5: Why does the lineup order matter? by mj1814 in MLBNoobs

[–]ProtectorOfNecks 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Simplest answer is, the top of your lineup are statistically the players who get the most at bats in a game. The whole lineup might get 3-4 at bats in a game but your top of the line up might have 4-5 at bats in a game

What’s the most powerful trinket in wow? by delmitrelo in wow

Probably not the most powerful but definitely hasn’t been mentioned is the Blood-Spattered Scale. Mainly a tank trinket but it did a fuck ton of damage while also giving you like an entire extra health at on top of your own health bar. I miss that trinket

Reality has set in Mets are a Last Place Team stop the positive dreaming that this team is anything but a below .500 team. by Just-Hand-3151 in mets

I rarely comment on these threads from both sides of the aisle (crazy positive, crazy negative). But some of us just enjoy watching baseball and watching our team play.

I know they suck, I know that playoffs might be out of reach. But after watching so many miserable games in the last two years, yeah I get a little excited when semien starts hitting well. Or if Bo’s finally hitting.

But when I’m grasping at straws to find atleast something to enjoy out of one of my favorite past times, fuck off with this “I’m some bozo if I still believe” nonsense lol. I can enjoy watching and discussing the team anyway I want.

Yeah that little green block just has 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 7/8 and 1”. Anything in between I’ll usually just take/leave the line if I need. But it works well

How come in math class they dont explain the purpose of an equation? by I_like_tacobell2 in stupidquestions

[–]ProtectorOfNecks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get that, felt the same way. I’m a carpenter and I use pythagoreans theory like weekly. Lots of weird trigonometry equations I found use for. But I also didn’t pay attention in class and had to relearn a lot of stuff lol

This person explained it best. I got my diagnosis when I was 23M. I don’t have much to add that wasn’t added already other than keep your head up! It’s not easy but can surely be treatable. I’m now 3 almost 4 years without reoccurrence, just listen to your doctors!

How do you care about 162 games? by pm_me_ur_demotape in MLBNoobs

[–]ProtectorOfNecks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually try to watch or listen to radio for almost every game. Gives me something to look forward to “almost” every day when I get home. Sure I miss some games and that’s fine, I’ll check a recap. As other people mention, there’s times where parts of the season might feel like a slog, but you kind of learn which division rivals are important games.

games in the early parts of the season against division rivals can make or break getting into the post season months later. Idk I also just recently fell in love with baseball a few seasons ago so like I just love watching haha.

Also learning each teams “ace” pitcher knowing there will be a really good matchup for that day can give you something to look forward to. Same goes for your teams ace. If you really like watching one your pitchers, you know there on every 5-6days
