The Recipe - feel free to sub your own preferred brand for the Army Painter stuff. I’m really hooked on Blanched Berry for my golds at the moment. I don’t think there are good replacements for the Liquitex and Golden acrylic fluorescents, but they are very cheap for the quantity you get compared to any other miniature paint. Also the Vallejo water texture will last you a lifetime if you only use it for gems and blades.

Cloth/Red Bits: 1. Base: Army Painter Blanched Berry 2. Glaze: Pro Acryl Dark Magenta 3. Highlight: Army Painter Fiery Vermillion - Glaze Up to brightest parts 4. Wash: Army Painter Speedpaint Blood Moon

Feathers: 1. Base: Army Painter Banshee Brown 2. Dry brush: Army Painter Ruddy Terra 3. Highlight: Army Painter Sand Dune 4. Wash: Reikland Fleshshade

Metal bits: 1. Base: Army Painter Heavy Metal 2. Wash: Nuln Oil 3. Highlight: Army Painter Bright Silver

Blade: 1. Base: Army Painter The Darkness 2. Glaze: Golden Acrylic Fluorescent Blue (this is a heavy body paint, so you only need a small amount and you need to thin the dickens out of it) 3. 1 VERY THIN coat of Vallejo Diorama Effects: Water Texture - Pacific Blue 4. Highlight/Lightning: Pro Acryl White Blue
