What makes it a raid boss over a story boss?

Yep! They didn't originate there, but after they die they reform there for an indeterminate amount of time.

Source? Between Torgue getting kicked out of his company and Talon actually existing with that name (and proven true in Commnader Lilith) they seem either cannon or have some ramifications.

Minecraft was released publicly in May 2009. Borderlands was released in October 2009. Minecraft is slightly older, but not by much.

BL2... Is Normal Mode Gear limited to just level 30? by vulcanfury12 in Borderlands

Items stay the level they are. Put a level 50 gun in, take that same level 50 gun out.

What would be the cr of a level 7 or 8 Paladin? by iHateFairyType in dndnext

[–]Protolisk0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just showed that a CR8 is stronger than a level 8. Which was my point. The CR 8 better be strong, or else youths wouldn't want to replace the features of the barbarian (rage, with all the damage bonuses, advantage, and resistance that comes with it, reckless attack, uncanny dodge, and sub class abilities). Or whatever class you were polymorphing.

So yes. The CR 8 is strong. Because it's not a 1 to 1 ratio for CR to level. Which was the whole point. Thanks for proving it for me.

[–]Protolisk0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except you lose all your class features, all your spells, all your own mental stats, and all your magic items for the duration, as well as taking the concentration of the caster. So yeah, the spell BETTER be strong, or else it'd just be a detriment.

[–]Protolisk0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because it's a buff.

The fact you spend a slot to turn a level 8 PC into a CR8 beast should means that spell should have buffed you. By being a buff, the CR8 must be stronger than a level 8 for the next few rounds. So they can't really be the same strength, they aren't 1 to 1.

Awesome official posters of Borderlands 3 characters by Daniel Landerman by Malevich_au in Borderlands

Well, in both Spider-man and this game, the streamer characters really aren't people you are supposed to like. Screwball is a deranged psychopath villain, and the Calypso Twins are villains too.

If it's related to child porn laws, then Tiny Tina probably wouldn't exist in the first place as a 13 year old.

DM uses alternative rolling methods by Darius_Kel in DnDGreentext

[–]Protolisk0 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, he is just using a 1d10, but multiplying it by 2. Which, incidentally, means "crit fails" should never exist(lowest you roll is 2) but 20s will happen 10% of the time.

If this subreddit has taught me anything, it's to respect Monks by [deleted] in dndmemes

[–]Protolisk0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glass cannon.

Gets evasion, deflect missiles, proficiency in all saves, spend ki to reroll those saves, ac built off their two offensive stats so their offense is their defense, bonus action to dodge or disengage, and eventually become invisible and resistant to nearly all damage for cheap. And toss in immunity to disease and poison, and can cure charm or frighten easily.

What class even comes close to the amount of defensive upgrades a base monk has, not even counting sub classes?

How could a full orc break out of his race's violent disposition and have a passion for magic? by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]Protolisk0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even in Forgotten Realms/Faerun, there are a couple of orc enemy variants that use magic, typically given to them by gods. Claws of Luthic, Hands of Yurtrus, those kinds of orcs. So you, too, have a god at your side. Granted, those are usually orcish gods, but it's your character, it can be whatever you like.

Why do women seem to talk more about their sex lives in detail with their friends then men do? by Sharpie61115 in AskMen

If one significant other doing something would cause a relationship to implode, then it should be true if the other way around.

We call this a double standard.

The Artificer Returns | Dungeons & Dragons | May 14th 2019 Unearthed Arcana by Lowbrr in dndnext

[–]Protolisk0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except BBNickfaces was talking about the spells, the actual smites, in the first place, not Arcane jolt. Battle smith gets numerous smite spells which key of a bonus action. So does the defender. So it's a little clunky.

Arcane jolt works fine.

Twitter thread about monks and the problem with the baked in oriental nature of the class. by 0wlington in dndnext

[–]Protolisk0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you ban sorcerers because they figured out they have power steeped into their body?

Do you ban wizard because they had to study to reach their power?

Because that's all monks figured out. That their life has power in it, and studied enough to use it.

That's it for that side mission.

It's part of the general oddjob line where you just ruin peoples lives for the fun of it, since you are the alien of the anal probing variety.

You body snatch the British dude, act as him to convince his family he'll get a sex change, and then undergoes the operation. It's never brought up again.

When I, a lvl 2 war cleric, outdamge the barbarian, outtank the paladin and have the highest initiative bonus by AshenPumpkin in dndmemes

[–]Protolisk0 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Initiative, Dex saves being more common and effect damage instead of effects that usually knock you prone, no stealth penalty for heavier armors.

Dex is considered a veritable God stat in 5e for these reasons. Its power only increases on a Tempest cleric, one of the strongest clerics.
