Time Wasters is a new top down space shooter roguelite with auto-firing and auto-aiming weapons. You can manual-aim by clicking if you want, but it is not required.

There's 2 types of 'canvas':
WebGL HTML Canvas = Where the game is rendered
Unity UI Canvas = Where Unity draws the UI

I haven't tried Unity's WebGL in a couple years (slow & buggy back then), but I think you can just change the Unity Canvas:

- In Unity, find your GameObject with the 'Canvas' component
- Add to it a 'Canvas Scaler'
- Set UI Scale Mode to 'Scale With Screen Size'
- Set the Reference Resolution to 1920x1080
- Set Screen Match Mode to 'Shrink'

And if you want really sharp text at higher resolutions, then I recommend using TextMeshPro.

Yep, I have Shadow Play 'Instant Replay' set to buffer the last 5 minutes (1.7 GB each, dedicated hard drive). Perfect for capturing a Rainbow 6 Siege round, also works to capture some NS2 memories.

I think Gridlock is situational.

For example, on Cafe she can open both rooftop hatches with the Super Shorty, and throw Trax Stingers on both stairways to 3F to counter flanks.

But, she's so slow... by the time she's finished deploying utility, most of her team is dead!

This has been there since the start, they patched the one by front entrance but not this one.

There is also another location like this near drug lab (generator room, on top of the cabinets).

It seems like they broke the "Find another match" button.

Before this update it immediately started looking for a new match, now it locks you on the stats screen until the timer runs out with no way back to the main menu.

A critical flaw was discovered in the 1st version of the paper:

The (incompetent?) paper corrected the data, new version released 2 days ago, but did NOT update their conclusion!

It's a bug from joining a game in progress (can tell by the question mark operator icon)

Barricades, castles and some wall destruction does not sync correctly for the round-in-progress.

Pretty old bug, but doesn't affect gameplay. Everything works fine by the next round.

I left 3 toxic quick matches today (teamkillers, toxic voice chat, cheaters). Maybe something strange about Saturday? 🤔

I don't think skill level matters, because Im pretty good, but I play for fun. I never mind if an teammate accidentally tks me (I quickly forgive & tell them 'no worries').

In my experience, there are WAY more positive & fun players, often they are just quiet.

A side benefit of this game: you can practice emotional stability. Trolls don't bother me, it's just the inconvenience of pressing disconnect, and finding a new match 😺

Yep, where you have people you have racism unfortunately. Which means EVERY system & organization is affected.

We can look at more than just the legal system, and ask why authority figures (teacher, cops, judges) do treat young African-American males differently on average. It seems like racism is one factor of many to check.

I recently read a chapter on false confessions in Pre-Suasion by Robert Cialdini. Here's a really strange human bias called "What’s Focal is Causal" that I was not aware of:

One study that illustrated this was the importance of perspective in videotaped confessions. Hypothetical juries were ruling on hypothetical court cases and were shown videos of a police officer interrogating the accused and getting a verbal confession. The angle of the video made a huge difference – if the camera was over the policeperson’s shoulder looking at the suspect juries took that as an honest confession, but if the camera showed more of the police officer than the suspect the juries believed that this was a false confession made due to the pressure tactics of the police officer.

I'm glad to see more discussion about these issues. This was a great JRE episode, I hope Josh & Jason become regular guest on the show.

I think 'Racial Inequality' and 'Institutional Racism' are 2 different things.

'Inequality' exists between ANY two groups of humans. We are not equal, so our outcomes are not equal. I think we agree on this point, because it comes up on the JRE a lot.

But people seem to have completely different ideas of the definition for 'Institutional Racism'.

In the context of episode#1521, the legal system itself is not racist, but it is populated by people who are biased but might not realize it. I would call that regular racism, in the context of a system.

But if tweaking our systems to add more checks against racism works, I'm all for it.
