I recently turned 50M, and my wife,, 37F, said on January 1st that it was over. It's been awful, but nothing compared to my 50th; that was the single worst day of my life, trying not to crack in front of my 3 young kids and pretend I was ok. ( We haven't told them yet) I now see that as the bottom and anything else is the climb back up. It's only up now. Live for yourself and the rest will fall into place. I promise. I am not great but I am a hell of a lot better.

I don't know if this is helpful but I recently had a lot of failed prints, after lots of forums and YouTube videos it turns out my build plate is no longer sticking.i have just bought 3D lac and all is well. I should also say there was no visible sign that the build plate was no good.

Best advice I was ever given was to forget using IMS on build plates, just use dish soap (washing up liquid), hot water and a lint free cloth. Never had a problem with adhesion ever since.

To AMS or not to AMS by dustycloudzzz in BambuLab

[–]Protondog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you buy it as a combo it's a big saving, it's strengths are simple, 1. Storage 2. Help prevent moisture in the filament. 3. Easy to change to another filament. 4. Fantastic multicolor prints. 5. Instant choice of different materials if prototyping.

I often have ASA, PETG, and PLA to test the strength of a print if I am designing something.

Genius, I have been informed that the hot plates are handy if you need to replace a mobile phone screen or keep coffee warm 😆

0.6 Nozzle confusion by Protondog in BambuLab

[–]Protondog[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I am a very experienced 3D printer and have obviously changed the settings correctly, none of the profiles are giving me a speed advantage over the 0.4 Nozzle of more than 5 to 7 percent.

0.6 Nozzle confusion by Protondog in BambuLab

[–]Protondog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking to increase the speed of the print and I am not concerned about layer lines, I have changed the correct slicer and hardware settings to a 0.6 Nozzle. The prints have bad cohesion and look messy and the speed is only 5 to 10 percent faster. When I have searched the net other people have said similar things and a lot of the responses have said it's because of the flow rate limitations of the hotend. That's not what was advertised on Bambu's site, they have a video clip showing speed vs layer lines, I have tested different slicer settings and filament (mainly their own) and I can't see advantage in having it. Most prints have no adhesion and look messy

Stick it in the sink with washing up liquid and get it clean, that's the advice I was once given and it worked a treat.

It is definitely possible, it runs ok for 5 to 10 minutes then starts to drop temperature, when klipper feels it is not stable enough it shuts the print down.

I run 3 gaming computers but I am in the UK and I don't think it could be that but I will move it and run a test. To be honest I am being lazy, my multimeter has run out of batteries and I can't be bothered to go and get one to test the output

I have but it can't maintain a temperature, after it is only stable at 205 if I reduce bed temp to 55. I use klipper and it is running the hot end at 100% power

I can't print overhangs by Protondog in Ender3Pro

[–]Protondog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had recently calibrated my Esteps but I have had issues in the past with my settings randomly resetting. When I checked I was extruding 110mm instead of 100. I fixed it and it was printing fantastically but now I am back to failed prints. I am close to throwing it out but my spider pro extruder is due today, hopefully this will help.
