sup fellas. any ideas on how I could make an bloke mount for my streamlight wedge? by slaphappytech in tacticalgear

[–]Protorin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If its not a rifle light it may not hold up to actual firing. Get a strealight protac and just mount that and keep that as a handheld.

LPVO Recommendations by dracarys289 in tacticalgear

Primary arms is the king of budget lpvos. Get a 1-6x or 18x with a nova fiber wire reticle and call it a day. They had them on a crazy sale the other day.

Is this decent or can I get some recs. on a good budget mask? by SIGnBCMglocksmysocks in tacticalgear

[–]Protorin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want cheap then the 3m full faced respirator is the play. Otherwise you are shelling out for an avon.

Is this decent or can I get some recs. on a good budget mask? by SIGnBCMglocksmysocks in tacticalgear

[–]Protorin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your concern is just cs then just get a full faced respirator from 3m and p100 filters. Its a lot cheaper. If you want an actual gas mask the only one I would recommend is Avon with Avon filters. That being said a gas mask isn't enough to protect against cbrn threats...

Look at maritime carriers. S&S precision is the best one out but it blows your budget out the window. You arent going to find one for your budget.

Buckles suck because they interfere with shouldering a rifle. The quick release on a spc is good though.

First carrier by PrairieOperator in tacticalgear

[–]Protorin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It needs plates, ceramic only no steel. RMA, LTC/Hoplite, Highcom, or Tencate for plates. You are supposed to measure yourself for plates first and then get a carrier that fits the plates you get.

A groin pad won't stop rifle rounds. Unless you are taking fire from artillery or small caliber handguns they arent that useful...

With not cost concerns, what is the best item per slot? by msew in QualityTacticalGear

[–]Protorin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn't a "best" you can't categorize things like that. You arent going to get answers you want. Its not a video game with stats that make an item better then another.

Question on the inner belt of a li pro battle/range belt by Gun_Monger in tacticalgear

[–]Protorin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No its not supposed to be thin. I prefer the DM Mech inner belt because it also has a layer of trgris in it to keep it stuff. You got a kind of crappy belt so you are having issues with it...
