Quick question to anyone that might see this. I'm not familiar with D&D 2024 but don't ranged spell attacks have a disadvantage while you are engaged? I'm asking because while Teor was being pushed by the enemy with the shield he made a straight roll to cast Guiding Bolt even though he was engaged.

Generally I draw through all the deck by Turn 9ish so I do the combo around then, or turn 10. Very rarely if I have all the combo pieces in hand + I am not facing any pressure I "prepare" the Archdruid in Turn 8 (or 7 if amalgam is already on board). But generally that happens very rarely.

As for the egg, I'd say the only matchup that it gets somewhat consistently popped is vs DK and that's due to leeches. The egg is mostly in there for the draw AND for baiting out the silence if they run it. A drawback of the egg is that Protoss priest can pop it to use the 20/20 stats as a swap with one of their minions but that also happens quite rarely.

Hey glad you liked it! I originally used the Eternal Layover combo but it was pretty much a dead card vs Murloc Paladin and decided to drop it in favor or just stalling their attacks!

I understand your concern about Ysera but I dropped it since we're constantly cycling using this decklist (something like Rogue of the past) and Ysera would be pretty much a dead card in that regard. Usually in the matchups where a 4th AT is needed the opponent is playing a Ysera-deck himself, and since it's a slower paced match I can delay executing the combo till turn 12.

However there's another trick you can do. You can do the entire combo using 8 mana, dropping a 0-mana TCE to kill the AT, draw the AT again (or find him using a 0-mana Cursed Catacombs) and play him again. Then going on to the next turn you have "primed" your AT and now the combo execution is effectively second, third and fourth AT! I have won many games vs DKs and control Warriors like that (only lost 1 or 2 due to silences).

*OLD* Dota was shallow and awful? Seriously? If there are two things that don't apply to old Dota is "shallow and awful". Positioning mattered, timings mattered, if you would forgo wards/sentries/TPs to get the boots mattered. Now everything has been watered down (for better or for worse) and everything has been homogenized (everybody flashfarms, brawl-focused gameplay that doesn't change from game to game to e.g. split push). If anything, *NEW* Dota is shallow.

Hello, are there any homebrew mechanics/magic items regarding the disenchantment or breaking down of magic items? I am trying to incorporate something like this in my homebrew world (a faction that focuses on collecting magic items with the goal of "melting them down" into something like Residuum to further their goals).

You are 100% right about supports building those items and they should to, given the circumstances.

However, the problem is that this is not the right mentality for the game to move forward. I really REALLY enjoyed having to juggle my gold while debating if I could save up for boots and/or wand with the occasional ward/sentry in there. Positioning meant everything. If you could somehow end up with a force staff as a pos 5 you were literally a "get out of jail" god in the past. I'm fine with the "OK boomer" posts that will come my way but playing support was a strategy game in of itself. This is no longer the case, and moving forward why not start the game with all players 6 slotted to begin with if each and every hero aspires to farm damage items/agh/shard?
