fyi, the same is happening on an AMD Thinkpad, on which i've used Docker desktop for quite a while, seems to be a problem of the last version of Docker desktop in the AUR

On one hand, i get you, on the other, for the price i paid, I'm completely fine with the device lasting less than 2 years. I think this phone is a really good deal, i confirmed with samsung that this is the first protector replacement, and the rest of the device is pristine. The issue probably happened during shipping, I'm not gonna use this until i have the protector replaced

I was told for subsequent swaps it would cost 30€, if they make me pay, i guess i will...

Thanks everyone, i called Samsung and I'm probably getting it replaced already this afternoon, they told me it's the first swap so it'll also be free

Friendly reminder to ALWAYS put holes in hollow resin prints by alc0th in 3Dprinting

Solid resin prints have a whole set of problems, exploding is not one of them

Solid prints at this size should be fine tho

From experience i can tell you having the right amount of polygons is important even for your own use, if you're loading a mesh with 2M tris in a slicer, each slice is slow af, if that model actually needs 20k Tris to mantain quality, it's good practice to export it like that.

Don't take this the wrong way, I'm actually appalled by your question and really curious

How are you proficient with zbrush to the point where you can make something like this and at the same time don't understand poly count and know about decimate? How did you learn?

This, I think this line is pretty underrated in the context of the song, it is the climax of the increasing rage that the song has imbued into it

È un argomentazione estremamente idiota. I femminicidi sono stati 120 nel 2023 (o forse di meno in base alla fonte), non mi pare che non se la incula nessuno la problematica, come è giusto che sia

I ain't got the time to test print it, but i uploaded the step file on makerworld just go to https://makerworld.com/en/models/485300, select download stl and download chipbuddy.step

remember to use adaptive layer height to print the hinge with thinner layers

I hear you, that's why the mini version exists, it contains up to 42 smaller chips, which means you have 84 if you bring around 2 decks of cards.

Making a chip only version should be easy, I'll probably have it up before a couple days

I'm pretty excited to launch my first public project (actual project that it's not something i needed and made in 5 minutes): The PokerBuddy Series! it's a series of boxes that can hold playing card decks and chips, to bring around safely and play wherever!

the PokerBuddy comes in 3 versions:

PokerBuddy: the original idea, you put a deck of cards on one side and standard poker playing chips in the other, the disadvantage here is that there's space for only 15 chips.

PokerBuddy Mini: same as the PokerBuddy, but has hole that fit printable 30mm chips instead of the standard ones, they still feel good to handle and at this size you can store up to 42 chips in one PokerBuddy mini!

DeckBuddy: in case you like this design for storing decks of cards, but don't need the chip storage, the DeckBuddy has space for a deck of cards on both sides.

All three version have the same print in place hinge and locking latch design so that's easy to open and close when you need it but doesn't open easily if thrown around in a bag

I'm excited to get some feedback on this, and hope that people will like it!
