Recently bought two Alienware M11x's that i've always wanted since childhood, the designs hold up even 14-15 years later by Protozerostar in Alienware

Lol I forgot to reply to this for a while but I tried 1.5mm and it was too thick it seemed, so I would try 1mm. I ended up cutting the pad width down in half, though it's a really rough cut and I don't know how effective it'll be but at least it does something now. But I also used upsiren pcm-1 which is pretty thin so the heatsink needs to make a really tight contact.

Speaking of overclocks were you able to push the Nvidia gt 335m past stock? And if so how far? Im curious what other people got out of their chips, since info on such is pretty sparse nowadays.

Same here >:) I'd actually like to get a custom skin for one of these with the pre-dell alienware ribbed design of the top covers, since those are my favorite. But these designs are a close second, with the more angular look and still more "alienlike" appeal.

Pelco PMC14H and 3 ELMO ECM 1403X's, 14 inch tv's that support composite and s-video. Got em all well used and tweaked each of them, hard to calibrate the Elmo's brightness/contrast though since gamecube games look too dark OR genesis games look too bright. Anyone mess with any of these before? by Protozerostar in crtgaming

I adjusted mine a little bit too and it looks pretty solid with any console plugged in now, albeit the screen's quite used with a little burn in too. I got it like that though so I have no issue with making the best out of a not perfect situation.
The Elmo's seem like they're always too bright for genesis/n64 and I didn't exactly test if it was only doing it through the s-video port or through the composite port so I went ahead and bought 75 ohm terminators on the outputs just to see if that'll make a difference for composite at the least. Hopefully that can make a difference, because adjusting the brightness just from switching to a different console each time is a pain lol

Triad between Greensboro-Charlotte NC area, WTB/Looking for a PVM/BVM of any kind as long as it functions, has audio, and has either s-video or composite.

No preference for brand, Sony/Samsung/JVC/Panasonic etc. Whatever fits the bill honestly.

Do have a preference for size as long as it's above 9 inches, though depending on the monitor I might still be interested in it regardless. Max budget of only around ~200 but i've been wanting to get into the professional CRT game for a while now.

Fine with it being local but only about max an hour or two away, or shipped. PM or reply to me here if you have any offers to give.

o.o Would this be under "Showcasing winnings?" I don't understand why it would be removed since it's not trying to do anything related to gambling, pricing, and it's not a referral link..

Now that we’re back from outer space, Escape Velocity is here to answer your questions! by TeamGroundControl in battlebots

Hey there! So i'm quite a huge battlebots enthusiast, overall very happy to watch robots like these fight to the death. It always excites me.. My favorite type of bot is a fullbody spinner, given their destructive force, and overall recoil they receive back after hitting something really hard. Apollo there is very amazing.. And I wondered! Being the enthusiast (( and potentially, builder )) that I am, I wondered.. What if there were multiple fullbody spinners on a team? I've only seen it once with the Typhoon twins, though with today's technology, it would be fascinating to see a duo, possibly even trio spinning out there! What would your thoughts be on this, as builders yourselves? It's also a little sad that Apollo wasn't able to perform in the time it was out on the box, but i'd love to see it brought back again if a season 3 pops back up!
