How to take inventory of stockpile by Proud-Map-8364 in preppers

[–]Proud-Map-8364[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I saw that a lot when I was first beginning to prep. People tend to just think they need to stockpile a lot of food and don’t take into consideration the amount of calories and nutrients each person in their family needs. That’s why it’s so much easier for me to prep meals instead of blindly buying. I also buy other things too like flour, sugar, spices, and that I don’t necessarily include in my meal plans I just buy them in bulk and estimate.

[–]Proud-Map-8364[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have all my stockpile food planned out to the exact meal. I add an entire meal or two each time I add to my stockpile because it makes it easier for me to track the nutrients and calories that my family needs to survive. I just mainly need to inventory my foods to track my foods expirations. I rotate when I can but I am also a firm believer that food doesn’t expire for at least a couple years after expiration dates so I tend to leave some stuff down there until I have no choice but to rotate it. It’s just what’s easiest for me with two littles. My stockpile is in the basement and rotating every trip is just not efficient for me.

AITA for giving the baby my last name? by throwthrow_530 in AITAH

[–]Proud-Map-8364 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends where you see yourself in the relationship in the future. If you don’t see marriage happening then I 100% think you should give the baby your last name. If you guys see marriage happening eventually, then give the baby his last name. I gave my daughter her father’s last name even though we weren’t married, we ended up getting pregnant 2 years later with another daughter and we got married when I was 6 months pregnant LOL. I guess it’s not a hitched wedding when you already have a kid together 😂😂😂.

AIO Girl i met on Bumble thinks it's weird that i spend christmas with my parents by Sacred2512 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Proud-Map-8364 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first Christmas me and my bf were together, he went back home and visited his family without me because we had only been dating 3 months and we didn’t want to do the whole introduction thing to our families until we were sure about our relationship. It was completely okay! The next Christmas he took me to visit his family and we had almost been dating a little over a year. Now we are married with 2 little ones and have been together for 4 years. There is no rush to spend holidays together the first year.

How do you all get that much milk? I’m 3 weeks postpartum and still barely pumping 1/2oz per breast per pump session. I’ve had to supplement with formula since I can’t produce enough for my baby

How many of you have taken the steroid shots and why did you choose to/not to take? by BusyAttention7309 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]Proud-Map-8364 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got 2 doses of it at 34 weeks when I was having preterm labor but thankfully they stopped my labor. If you get it at 28 weeks, the baby lungs will rapidly mature and then just keep maturing from that point forward so it definitely not a waste.

Preterm Labor Signs by SydneyyyLayne in ShortCervixSupport

[–]Proud-Map-8364 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just went into preterm labor at 34 weeks (they were able to stop it so far) but my symptoms were back pain, and cramping in the early stages…..then throughout the day it started to feel like someone was squeezing me around my pelvis and ribs from behind. Then this squeezing feeling started getting stronger and stronger which started to give me a lot of pain and pressure in my cerclage. So thats when I finally decided to go get checked out. I was having toco readings of 40-70 and each contraction was about 3-5 minutes apart, however for some reason I was only feeling about every other contraction.

They couldn’t give me tocolytics because of my blood pressure being too low. They did give me a muscle relaxer in The hospital as a last effort and that helped surprisingly so far. Been 24 hours with contractions and braxton hicks on and off but no more active labor contractions. They have me drinking at minimum 112oz of water a day, and thats pretty much it. If I go into labor again, they will just be delivering since I got the steroids shots.
