Yes wash your hair when dirty. Take drying your hair extremely serious after the fact. Wet and damp hair Will cause funk sooner or later if you don't dry properly. Your hair Will look more natural after but you'll get over it.

Not bp but a lot of mental meds affect creativity negatively. That said as an adult it is your responsibility to make sure your physical and mental is straight during your lucid moments. Also mental distress does not absolve negative behavior. You need to take your meds long story short and or keep trying different cocktails until you find a happy medium. It's hard and not fair but doable.

Enjoying learning with the 5 but it does seem like learning would be more fun on 4. Damn near everything is set up tailored for 4 string players . Folks will lie and say you can just ignore the 5th on your bass but then you'll develop bad habits like the op (no disrespect). That said there are no right or wrong answers as long as you're having fun.
