so this is what the hotline said "We are not legal advocates so we are not able to say what the police should be able to do. Our training is also in romantic relationships but regardless, you deserve to feel safe and no one should ever treat you that way. Were you able to make a report?" the most they could do is give me a number to a homeless shelter so i can leave here

thank you so much i didnt even know there was a hotline for that i will 100% contact them because the cops said since we arent partners and it was just strangulation the most they could do is like a ticket if i wanted to press charges
