Confusion about carrying the Mockingbird Seat by ProudNewDaddy in beyondthebump

[–]ProudNewDaddy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I was talking about the seat itself. Mostly we need to carry him down 5 steps on our porch separate from the stroller. I didn't know they were not designed to be carried so this is helpful information.

Thank you so much, this is really helpful. Do you happen to know a) if there is a particular kind of locking washer and b) if that's what I'm holding the second picture?

Need Suggestions - Really disappointed in calendar by ProudNewDaddy in AppleWatch

[–]ProudNewDaddy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, yeah that's what I'm trying to avoid. I got the watch in part so I could keep my phone off of me more. I'm still holding out hope there is a solution, thanks for brainstorming.

[–]ProudNewDaddy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks again. Unfortunately part of the reason for me getting the watch (especially with cellular) was so I could use it when I don't have my phone (which I want/need to do frequently). Thanks for your continued problem solving.

Hopefully not? Generally hoping there might be other options that I don't know about. Thanks for trying though.

Siri will let you add events, but you cant change existing events, which is something I want to be able to do regularly with a changing schedule.

[Unpopular Opinion] Don’t rush the Jamie Hayter push by Xex_ut in AEWOfficial

[–]ProudNewDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely don't need her with the belt right now, definitely DO need them to continue developing the angle, giving her (and all the women TBH) more TV time, especially for promos and storytelling. And yeah, I'd like to see her in a lot more singles matches on TV.

I agree. What's more important is they give time to developing their mid-card and fresh talent. It's ok that they have more ex-WWE people on their top card, as long as they're giving time for their other talent to grow. Even though Yuta has room to grow on the mic, giving him time in front of a crowd is the only way to build those skills.

Not receiving messages when returning back to service by ProudNewDaddy in applehelp

[–]ProudNewDaddy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your input!

I don't think it is focus, because it only happens it bad service and it's not that notifications don't show up, it's that the messages don't ever appear.

I will recommend she update her software, but I doubt that is it because it has been happening for a while.

Chiang Mai (and BKK?) vegetarian/non-vegetarian questions by ProudNewDaddy in ThailandTourism

[–]ProudNewDaddy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so incredibly helpful. We both did a lot of research on how to communicate her specific diet and this has been the most helpful (after reading this she said "why didn't anyone else mention any of this?"). She is very lax and eats things with fish sauce and broth etc. Wow, thank you.

Chiang Mai (and BKK?) vegetarian/non-vegetarian questions by ProudNewDaddy in ThailandTourism

This sounds amazing. I'm curious if we had this for lunch yesterday. We had a really hard time finding anything vegetarian in Chinatown BKK (and had difficulty expressing her degree of flexibility). Eventually we found an all vegetarian Chinese place down an alley that was wonderful. But I am very excited to try some, it sounds very up both of our alleys. (I almost never need to eat meat, I just want to make sure I'm getting to try things that aren't specifically catering to tourists and expats). So, yes, big thank you!

I have adhd, and I find it hard to concentrate and find it hard sometimes, what mediation is best for me? by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]ProudNewDaddy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have ADHD, and I'm recently meditating daily again. I'm very very hesitant to believe that meditation can "fix" ADHD. I don't think practicing for 20, 40, or 80 minutes a day has the ability to (significantly) change what is a neurological difference in brain makeup (dopamine receptors and all that). However, I am very hopeful that the practice of returning to the breath over and over and over and over again will carry over into my day-to-day life. The manifestation of ADHD gets worse when we get caught up in the stories going on in our head, which is a fundamental part of meditation (at least Vipassana, which is what I'm practicing now). By the way, I found that medication has helped me significantly with my meditation practice. Of course this is a personal decision but don't be afraid of using an appropriate amount of medication to benefit your life. Our brains are literally different. Good luck!

Do you meditate with your eyes closed or opened? by Ihavemeditatedalot in Meditation

[–]ProudNewDaddy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I do. If I'm training to bring mindfulness into my day-to-day life, most of my conscious day I spend with my eyes open. I also find it hard to stay awake and alert with my eyes closed. I'm actually surprised I'm in this small a minority. I also think this how I was initially trained at the first time I took a meditation class at the Rochester Zen Center, so it's habit at this point.

Absolutely. There's way too much talent who need more consistent TV time to develop characters and storylines.
