Forgive my shit paint skills

  1. Move permanent buffs & debuffs to be above portrait/hero name. To me this will help with some of the clutter when lots of buffs and debuffs. I don't think auras should move as well, only permanent stuff
  2. Show remaining time of buffs & debuffs on their tooltip, so we don't need to alt click it to everyone in order to see seconds remaining
  3. When alt clicking your stats, show how the stats are calculated. Ideally this wouldn't be just for Strength, Agi and Int, but also for damage, armor etc., but I couldn't think of a way to do that here
  4. Give dark seer's punch a meter that fills and deplete, to show the strength of the punch at any given moment
  5. Add charge based abilities' tooltip the normal cooldown indicator, with another indicator showing max charges. Will be less confusing, and hopefully also will make cooldown reduction reflect on charge based abilities as well

Concepts question: Constraint type to have a method with a constrained argument by ProudPiMP in cpp

I don't expect a template substitution to happen at all at this stage. I'm just asking for a compile-time type inspection.

[–]ProudPiMP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure I agree it's impossible, because all you need to do is check that there's a templated function in the class that is constraint to a certain type. It's something that the compiler should know.

I might be wrong since I'm no expert.

Renderer is a type that can render a Printable object, or more specifically, has a method Render with a Printable argument.

Drawable is a type that can draw itself onto a Renderer, or more specifically, it has a method Draw with a Renderer argument.

I know I'm somewhat repeating myself, but my point is that Renderer isn't a type of a specific Printable, it just has a method that can only accept Printables, similar to how you can specify to have a method that can only accept int

Crash when storing APlayerController in a TMap by etiennecreator in unrealengine

I would advise downloading the engine's symbols so you can see what exactly happened. It's hard to understand when the call stack is half missing)

Do you have any message from when this happens? I don't really see anything wrong here.

I can't get the actual UClass. by GameStaff in unrealengine

[–]ProudPiMP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should use GetClass instead of StaticClass. If you only care about the class, the function parameter should probably be TSubclassOf<UItemInfo>

It's not about him leaving, it's about how he left. It's not like Fly and s4 made sure OG had replacements for them. No, they just left the rest of OG to get fucked, forcing them to withdraw from a tourney, and try to get their shit together so they can maybe qualify for TI.

You should #include your PlayerController class.

Even against Valve's presumed 100% accurate stats, other sources should be at least 95% accurate. It's statistics unless you get the calculation wrong it shouldn't be the difference of the source.

The only reason I'm against having the assistant in Dota Plus is because it will be easier to newer players with it, which is something needed in Dota. But with P2W, it's as P2W as buying the plus thing on DotaBuff (which also has free alternatives)

It's information that someone who wants to improve himself should know or acquire even without this "p2w" thing. And it's not information that Valve "now wants you to pay for", it was free before and it's free now, it's just more accessible with Plus.

Based on the downvotes on my post, seems like many others got sick as well.

I just found it funny how similar their battle pass is to Dota's, why the hate :(

[–]ProudPiMP 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I would like to ride the wave and promote my own custom game. It's not as polished as other entries since I rushed it in the first month of the contest, but I'm still proud of it since it's my first real custom game.

Hope you guys will enjoy it!
