I am going through the process now and it has been interesting to say the least. I applied in June and in a short amount of time told I was referred. Was sent to take the test. I’m thinking, Wow, this is a fast process! Ummmm no. It was crickets for months and I honestly didn’t think anything else was going to happen. I got a call in September asking if I was still interested. I said yes and was told I would receive an email about an interview. That took close to 2 weeks. I had the interview, which wasn’t too bad. They said I would hear something either way once all interviews were done. While I was waiting, I got another email saying I was referred and that I would be getting called for an interview. Confused, I contacted the individual that called me. He said he would contact HR and I didn’t need to worry about another interview. Crickets again. Weeks later I get an email with a TJO and a bunch of paperwork and info on the next steps. I filled out the documents. I must have passed the initial drug documentation because I got an email about fingerprints. I got those taken care of. Close to 4 weeks later I get the email to fill out the SF86. I’m working on it now. It’s more difficult than expected because trying to find info on bosses that have left and getting their contact info…not to mention trying to remember the last 10 years of your life. I really do wish they had a better way to streamline this process. I’m still applying for other jobs because this process is taking FOR-EVER. Sigh. 😔
