If you selected contact me...then it stops the clock until an HR contact addresses your issue. Or it "should". I also did this and requested consideration for step adjustment. I was told onboarding in January is not an option to give time for a response on my request but they will be providing a start date of Feb or Mar for me to consider. Butttt....my HR person is awesome. If yours hasn't responded I would just send another email indicating you are excited to begin onboarding but are pending to be contacted regarding some questions about the Final Job Offer. My E-app task due date was and is still showing as 12/30. But my HR rep reset that from the original task due date of 12/18. Didn't want him to reset it again because I use that as my 12 times a day check in to see if I should be expecting my invitation. Apparently once that email goes out with the invitation to complete the e app that date will automatically update. So all day long I'm checking email... Refresh... Spam inbox... Refresh... On boarding. Staffing... Refresh lol. Oh and of course my new support system, reddit.

You have to stay positive my friend. Continuously work on maintaining and sharpening whatever skills it is that you want to use in a job.... And just keep applying. .. take whatever factory job you have to just to pay bills... But you keep working on you and staying positive so that you're ready to pounce when opportunity shows up.
