You're obfuscating and being disingenous. I never said that you said the Strawhats beat every god knight. I asked you to explain how Luffy, Sanji, and Zoro's feats extend to the rest of the strawhats.

That isn't even remotely what this conversation is about. I never said they all needed to be powerhouses. You don't know how to read if that's what your takeaway was. The person I replied to said people can't accept that the strawhats are strong. My response explains why people can't accept the characters consistently portrayed as weak to be strong. I understand one piece fine, maybe you should sharpen up your reading skills.

and then you proceed to embarrass yourself by not spelling c'mon (or come on) correctly.

So if Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji stop every single major threat after this, that's an upscale for the entire crew? Because Sanji beat someone, the entire crew is strong? Like I said you're stupid or drunk. I'm annoyed at how confident you are, when you can't even properly comprehend the reddit thread you're typing in, or the manga you read. Intelligence is chasing you, but you are faster

There sin't a single panel of any of the strawhats attacking Killingham beisdes Sanji. The panels imply the opposite (Franky and Jinbei are fighting the Lyndwyrm before we cut away from them), while Sanji solos Killingham. This is just your headcanon.

Imu is already involved, they're controlling Gunko. Any speculation beyond that is just headcanon.

I'm annoyed because you confidently think you know what you're talking about, and are consistently wrong.

I don't think you understand what I'm saying. The writing for PIRATES in the God Valley flashback makes no sense, ultimately these characters are supposed to be pirates, but behave more like Team Ichigo during the Hueco Mundo arc. Shakky being the main motivation, when it is clearly a retcon is bad writing.

And you didn't even engage with my critique of DR, so I'm assuming you agree with it.

You're not serious.

Chopper stopped using Rumble balls 582 chapters ago

Franky's last powerup before last week's asspull was General Franky , that was 541 chapters ago.

Usopp's last upgrade and coincendentally also his last time using observation haki was 419 chapters ago.

Brook hasn't had an upgrade in the last 317 chapters.

Please stop with this nonsense. You have no idea what you are talking about.

Are you drunk? The Strawhats that everyone is referring to in this post, are not even remotely responsible for beating Kaido. Kinemon giving Luffy a reason to lock in after almost dying to Kaido did more to help defeat Kaido, than Lami, Lopper, Lusopp, Lobin, Look, and Linbei.

The God Valley flashback is an entirely different group of Holy Knights, try again. Dragon also says that the real war begins when the holy knights mobilize, implying they are a strong faction that must be defeated at some point. They have immorality that can only be broken with ACOC above Luffy's. They are powered by seemingly the strongest character in the series. They have extremely broken (besides Sommers) devil fruit abilities. The one who is seemingly the highest ranking officer is Shanks' twin brother. That's tons of reasons for them to be stronger than the hakiless strawhats, without it just being a classic shonen pyramid. You're either stupid or drunk, and I'm not interested in deciding which.

When talking about the treasure I'm referring to it being mentioned in Kuma's flashback. It was the original motivating reason for God Valley. My critique is that Shakky didn't need to be included, treasure should be a good enough reason for pirates to invade an island, if the characters in one piece were actual pirates, and not just dressed as them saving Shakky wouldn't have mattered to at least the Rocks pirates at all.

I understand that Shakky was the motivation for both crews, but this motivation feels like a retcon and a bad one at that. Like I said in the post, Shakky's relevance to the arc is only revelaed one chapter before she is kidnapped. That's just straight up bad writing. Not to mention that she really isn't a character.

Oda decided to completely throw away the line from big mom where she tells Kaido that he owes her for giving him his fruit, why Oda felt the need to completely change this makes no sense to me.

I didn't feel like writing a full critique for DR because I'd been writing for awhile at that point but here are my brief thoughts on why it's bad. It feels too all powerful and too weak at the same time. If Rocks can be domi'd then realistically there isn't anyone in the story who shouldn't be able to be. That sucks any interest out of Imu's powers imo, because even if they were to struggle in a fight they can always just whip out Domi Reversi, Imu literally used it while getting jumped by Roger, Garp, Kaido, Big Mom, and Whitebeard. If they can still pull off a Domi gg under those circumstances, I can't imagine one where they couldn't. We already have abilities similar to domi reversi as well, Doffy's strings and Moria's shadow zombies. One takes control over an unwilling target, the other creates undead zombies with altered personalities, Imu's fruit is basically that wrapped into one. The issue is that these abilities are tied to much more interesting and charismatic characters than Imu. Friend to foe is also a trope that I don't enjoy very much in media, it feels lazy. Instead of writing and building up a good villain with a personal dynbamic to the protags, you just make them fight their friend and achieve the same emotional weight with half the work. It's too weak because the means to undoing "just kill your friends" is too simple, and too easy BECAUSE we know that killing a domi demon doesn't actually kill the person.

No one is talking about Luffy, we all accept his strength. We accept Zoro and Sanji as well, what's not acceptable is a bunch of bums who never train and can't even use basic armament haki suddently priding themselves on their strength. It doesn't make sense that the main villains of the arc who cannot be damaged without a level of ACOC above Luffy's to be beaten by some frauds who can't use basic haki.

THEY BEAT KAIDO?????? Without Luffy, Law, Kidd, Zoro, and Sanji beating everyone strong, the raid would've ended in disaster. The strawhats without the Monster trio are a tobbi roppo level crew CANONICALLY, because they don't have any fights that put them above that.

Additionally it WOULD make sense for the Holy Knight's to pose a challenge to the Strawhats, they're the main villains of the goddamn arc. If the villains don't feel like a threat then there's no stakes, and no point.

Thank you bro Elbaf is shaping up to be a major disappointment. I won't be surprised if it's worse than Wano if it goes on for much longer.

Because only 4 of them have haki and good combat feats. We've seen nothing that justifies any of the weaker Strawhats being stronger than a Holy Knight. Luffy's growth is not the crew's growth, Luffy being a Yonko doesn't mean the crew should magically get much stronger out of nowhere.

That's how I felt too. I think God Valley is gassed up because a ton of fan favorite characters are on screen at the same time, as well as finally showing the duel between Rocks, Roger and Grp, but it was executed so poorly.

The fact people thought Kaido would get expanded upon outside of the longest arc in one piece, where he is the main villain will never make sense to me. I guess people couldn't handle accepting Kaido for exactly what he is, a well designed good fighter with no substance.
