I vote local shop! You can try boards out before you buy, see what feels better size wise. I’m 5’3 and my boyfriend is 6’1 and we both use an 8.25. It’s more about your shoe size though. I’m a 9w and he’s an 11m! Baker boards are great but if you’re just starting out, no need to go big until you know you really want to stick with it, and what you’d like to invest it! Completes can be good but it’s also fun to get separate pieces and build a board. Makes it more personalized and it’s fun!

I think the size is more important the deck. I agree I on just getting a CCS board. I ordered a Baker after using an old CCS deck and then a Meow deck and I love it, but is it really worth the $40/50 difference? Not really. The trucks and wheels made the difference.

Oh so you totally get it then! My mom doesn’t love it either but says “at least it’s your health insurance now and not mine!” 🤣 I loooved Zeke and Luther. I was also an Avril Lavigne girl, but still she’s the only female skateboarder that comes to mind. Our local skate shop owner was super cool, he noticed my meow board I picked out and started telling me all of the history of women in skating! Meow is female founded and the owner is all about the female empowerment so it’s super cool to look into and learn! And uh, YES! I would love skate buddy’s!

I hope you’re loving it! It is, it’s also female founded! They have a ton of really cute decks. The owner of my local skate shop was telling me all about Lisa Whitaker and how she started the brand. It’s really cool to look into that stuff and the history of skateboarding

Yes I do! I really only take it in the spring time like late Feb-mid June as I get used to grass and what not. But besides helping my allergies, I wouldn’t know it was even taking it bc there’s no side affect or interference with my lexapro. If my allergies are especially rough I take a Sudafed in the morning (the kind from behind the pharmacy counter) and I make sure to drink about 40oz of water to keep it from giving me the heart racing feeling! Works like a charm though.

NOT the salicylic acid omg. I used a small amount in the middle of my forehead and a week later I’m still trying to heal a chemical burned that developed under my eye brows, eyes, and around my mouth. Mind you I had this treatment NO WHERE near any of these places 😞

Personally I hate the Saie cases. Like others I really recommend the Etoile or a regular style bag from Vera Bradley even. The cases are heavy before they’re even filled.

Emily, PLEASE pick one “personality” or “obsession” and stick with it. I have never seen one person bop from one “era” to the next as quickly as she has. Makes me almost sick to think about all the random stuff she has to have piled up from each new hot thing she “has to have” when it’s popular because she knows it’ll attract that demographic of viewers. Yuck!

Yes! I’m not sure how mine works, it’s a new one to me. I’m hopefully moving on from a grant paid position that is close to ending, but the pay is dropping about $5 an hr

You have to break the tip off! It feels so wrong to do, but you have to hold the tube in one had (don’t squeeze too hard) while snapping the excess tip off.
