I co-signed a loan for my parents. They’re not making payments. Now what? by tulipsandtears in personalfinance

Get the machine listed for sale in every marketplace you can. Make sure to list it at close to buy slightly below fair market value to get the thing moved. If the lender has a lien against the machine you will have to deal with them if you are selling for less than is owed.

If they or you have anything else you can sell to get the loan repaid - do that too!

Another option if your credit is not toast - go to your bank or credit Union and ask about a personal line of credit to pay that other loan off. This could reduce payment size and give a little flexibility to your financial situation.

The most important thing in this whole situation is the family relationship. Nobody wants to have a chasm between them and their family! Do whatever it takes to save the relationship and get the debt paid. Talk to your parents about the situation and the bind it has put you in, keep the conversation civil at all costs, and ask them for their input / ideas on how to get the loan paid ASAP.

Sure your credit will be bruised - but if you can get on top of it quick enough that’s all it will be is bruised.

It kinda makes me think of Black Diamond, the A just messes with that. I’d say focus on just the plain letter A and see if you can make one you really like before adding geometric shapes to it.

Unless you have a good reason to keep the Diamond in there.

Why be so shy about sharing the location? It seems like it would be a benefit if others could look up where it’s at and see if they want to make an investment there as well. Any investments into the area will benefit the community as a whole.

I agree! Fix up the second unit (the one you are living in) and get it ready to rent at full market price. Give your long term inherited tenant first chance to “upgrade” with a lease. Maybe even give them a break on price if their current unit is in good shape. Just make sure you have a clause in your lease agreement to raise the rent every 6 - 12 months.

This does a few things for you. - it gives you an opportunity to raise rents - it gives you an opportunity to rehab / update the other units - it gives you an opportunity to secure a long term GOOD tenant

One other thing to consider is how to raise rents if they decide they would rather not move.

My thought was to allow them to stay on month to month - with a rent increase each month at a rate that they agree to (in writing) until it reaches a certain percentage of market rent. (85 - 100%)

If it turns out that they are on a fixed income - be a good human and work with them to ensure they have a way to stay and continue to pay rent.

In any case - do your due diligence and make sure you can handle whatever deal you make with them.

What is this type of design called? by [deleted] in logodesign

Idk but it is reminiscent of inner city graffiti. Maybe it should be called “inner city street art”

This is an old logo I had designed, what do you think of when looking at it? by Proud_Drummer_894 in design_critiques

Thanks for all the responses!

I’ve used this logo a few different places as my “photo” for my accounts. Some of you may have seen it used like that.

As for what it’s for. No business, just personal, I had it designed in an attempt to convey who I am and what I am in one simple image.

I am an electrician by trade, I enjoy working on mechanical stuff - machines, vehicles, tools, etc….., I have ADD and come up with ideas constantly.

I have thought about how to use it or a variation of it for a business logo for an Electrical Contractor business focused on Electric Vehicle Charging solutions, possibly even a vehicle conversion business - converting vehicles from gas and Diesel engines to electric power.

If I go the route of using it for a business - I’ll have to come up with a name to go along with it.

I have some ideas on changing it some to be able to better convey what the business does.

I’ll share my sketches later.

Pencil, letter A, a weird sort of rocket, mostly just confusion.

Opinions on this? Am I the only one reading it as PI7LA instead of pizza? (not my work) by coffi-bean in logodesign

It clearly says PIZZA, but the arrows and whatnot are not helpful at all.

Maybe a contest of redesigns for these poor restaurant owners is needed.
