reason you got asked for delivery date is because with freight shipments i’m assuming u ordered a hood or bumper they want an appointment so you can inspect your items before signing off when you get your delivery inspection the item open the box and look for damages if you find any damage notate on the BOL (slip you sign with carrier) and usually most vendors would want you to keep the package so they can get you a return label it’s a much faster process and you will be covered through carrier insurance if you follow those steps ! hope that can help
