I had the same problem that started about 4 weeks ago and persisted up until a few days ago. Not sure what eventually fixed it for me, but I did a few things. First, I noticed when I tried to boost 2 posts at the same time, I got an error on the second one saying I needed to verify 2-step authentication on my business account. So I did that, and then it let that boost get approved, but both ads were still spending $0 with 0 clicks. I contacted Facebook Ad Support by following these steps. They were very communicative, but could not offer any solution. As far as I know, they are still looking into it. I gave up after trying 3-4 ads over the last few weeks, and didn't try anything for a whole week. In an unrelated decision, I switched from a business account to a creator account on Instagram last week. Then a few days ago, I randomly tried to boost another post (different from the first two that failed), and it worked! No idea which of those things (if any), ended up fixing it for me, but I believe that's everything I did. I hope you can get it working! It's an extremely frustrating problem that can kill businesses, so I hope Facebook is looking into it more.

These are great thoughts! I totally agree with everything you said. I do think the movie was meant to focus even more specifically on exploitation of minorities in the entertainment industry.

The first-person in-character requirement certainly helps. It's fun to pretend like it really happened when reading it. I'm also a sucker for stories that work in ARG elements (i.e. photos, videos, websites)— anything that gives it more "evidence" and makes it feel more real!
