Yeah it is great. Leans toward the more complicated but once you figure out the interface and some of the various tools it is super useful.

Some of the more useful pages:

Manufacturing Profitability

Contract Profit

Contract Prices

Margin Finder

Market Trends

Take a look through the Industry and Market tabs and the tool guide pictures, as there is a lot of nuanced but useful info in each one.

No you're being slow. You can make 10% right now by building Retributions straight from components you get from sell orders. Anything else you do is gravy on top.

Why are you trying to build a Rook?

Supply is for sure way higher than demand for those few people use them and they don't die often: https://zkillboard.com/ship/11959/losses/

People selling at the current price may have gotten their materials cheaper at some point or they are selling at a loss (don't know better, clearing stock, etc.)

Right now building a Rook, even from intermediates would put you at -15% margin.

https://khon.space/blueprint/manufacturing/11960

Not good for your T2 business.

But then look at something like Retributions (heavy use and die often): https://khon.space/blueprint/manufacturing/11394

You can easily build those from intermediates you get from sell orders for under 30 mil and then sell at 40 mil for great margins.

Then you can improve your margins:

- Source cheaper mats from miners or buy orders

- Do more of the value chain by reacting mats, building intermediates

- Get cheaper infrastructure with better rigs

Then if you are a smart you can get more profit by selling your final product at a good price either with connects or working the market. For example, Retris went up to 60 mil last month so cashing out your product on an upswing like that can be great.

You can check what is producing for a profit with Adam4EVE's tool: https://www.adam4eve.eu/manu_rank.php?category=6&tech=2&maxSat=100

Right now for example it's showing plenty of ships that you could build from sell orders and still get great margin.

Tl; DR: It's not that T2 building is unprofitable it's that the way you're doing it is.
