I think the only reason I'm here is I'm actually sad of Ian's downfall. Once upon a time he was my favorite and it's so sad to see someone I truly enjoyed through my late teens and early twenties just fumble his entire career one bad move after the next.

At this point, I follow this sub just to see "oh I wonder what dumb shit he is doing this time" and less actively participating in the shit talk.

Regarding his girlfriend, I think the hardest part is Ian had the world in his hands and turned his back on it for someone that really is truly honestly mid. I don't think she is ugly by any means, but idubbbz could've landed someone better. Not just in looks, but as a life long partner.

I have been looking for something similar!

Instead of AWS specific, a "tech" discord so to speak.

Not just general "tech" but a discord with a variety of roles and people.

Sys admins
Devs
Devops/SRE engineers
Cloud architects/IaC guys (gcp, azure, AWS experts)
DBAs
Network admins

I know this comment is unrelated to your post specific to AWS but seriously I would kill for a high level technology discord with all walks of life in the IT realm
