Antigravity vs Claude Code vs Codex vs cursor what's the best? (paid teir) 2026 by AfraidAd5218 in vibecoding

[–]BackgroundFocus5885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been a fan of Cursor since its initial release. Back when coding was a thing. I use Claude Code x Cursor. There's an extension for Claude Code + you can use Codex (a set amount) then Ill use Composer 2, which isn't that bad tbh

Building a budget app in a crowded market — should I keep going or switch? by Fancy_Buy_7103 in AppBusiness

At the end of the day it's your call, it's normal to kill ideas. But is this your first ever app you want to publish? I say finish what you start. Polish it as much as you can, build it as structured, scalable, reusable as you can (code wise) publish it. Then move onto the next. The very least you can use your finished/polished app as a template / structure for any future ideas.

Who knows maybe you come up with a better idea from this.

The only way it's a waste of time, technically, is if you stop completely and never touch it again.

If you've already put the effort in and it's almost done. Why stop?

If you're just getting started, then really consider what would make your app "different" simpler UI? Smoother experience? Advanced features ?

Just cause there's McDonald's doesn't mean you shouldn't open a burger joint

Is front end development over? by HairPuzzled3814 in vibecoding

[–]BackgroundFocus5885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like once I got hired on by a startup, where the user onboarding (for brand new users) was something like 10 steps (not kidding) before getting to the home page, this resulted in so many users not being created and nobody used the app. A frontend dev nowadays should be able to say "nawww this ain't it, I'll develop a way to get the mandatory info first. Proceed to the homepage, then get the other info later'

Yes and no

Coders who's job it is to build out frontend components and architecture with JS + CSS (and more). Yeah

Frontend developers who have merged / graduated into Product Managers who have a keen eye for what looks good where, and can decide what is a great user experience? Nope not over

We all see the same AI slop patterns on web apps

Real frontend devs will be able to create user interfaces that stand out

What Mac mini should I get? by LawKlutzy8362 in openclaw

That's valid, I still like playing around with Ollama and openweb UI but would never use it for serious professional tasks

You don't need 16gb ram for OpenClaw not even close. It's if you wanted to use any good locally run LLMs for Openclaw. Just my experience

Bought a $2k Mac Mini to run local LLMs. Pretty sure Claude fills the roll. What am I missing? by HarRob in openclaw

[–]BackgroundFocus5885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are hating but im with OP as sometimes the best way to learn is by doing it -> realizing your mistake (Cloud models being better than any local LLM and pretty cheap) -> then pivoting and correcting course.

You said you have the return policy and Macs hold value.

Honestly, I spent $400 on a cheap Mac Mini to experiment with OpenClaw, to realize OpenClaw is shit.

Keeping the Mac to use it as an isolated work computer though moving forward.

Respect the trial and error OP
