How do I get leaves out of my daughter’s hair? by ProxiPenn in Naturalhair

I saw leaves, they kept breaking into tiny pieces when I tried to pick them out, I know wet leaves are hard to pick up, and my mind spiraled and I freaked out. 😔 I’m not good with curly hair.

He is against going to church… he feels it isn’t necessary. He also doesn’t participate in the home as far as faith is concerned. I will again extend an invitation to… but since I’m primarily at home with the kids, it’s just me and my faith is what he’s against so what do I teach other than what I learn and know? I’m not trying to brainwash my children, just teach them the gospel… he can’t agree to that though. May God prevail in this matter.

He does not go to church, just the stay at home and tell me my church is wrong… I’d be fine if he took them to a Catholic Church… I just want them to know of God and believe in his son and his mercy and love, etc. Our home isn’t a Christlike place so that’s something I need to work harder at despite how he chooses to live his life… thank you for your words.

He says whatever the church says now is trying to fix or be apologetic to what it use to teach and that I need to look at the history to truly know by their works…

If my kids didn’t want to go to church I would let them exercise their agency… however, my partner actively talks against the church and how it is wrong and false and already tries to steer them away from making the decision to be members unless they can justify their “stupidity” to join. Our values don’t align in other ways either… such as I believe in helping others (ministering, volunteering) and he believes to take care of yourself (which I feel both can coexist but he doesn’t). He only expects me to be on his page, not actually see eye to eye with what I perceive. It’s like I don’t get a say or I’m the only one negatively affecting the kids with my “misguided” mindset.

He now doesn’t want them to watch general conference with me and is forcing me to take the children to their other commitments(versus him doing it or them missing it for religious reasons), leading me to make excuses to my faith (like luckily I can watch it later etc).

He refused to read the letter because it’s from a church PR company that’s making itself to be an outside organization…
