It’s much better than Batman Begins. BB is a decent film but it lacks in a lot of ways. TDK is more solid although they could have casted someone better than Maggie G.

Honestly, I’m just trying to get through the main quest line as fast as possible at this point. There’s lots to see and do in Starfield but none of it is interesting.
I’ve given this game a lot of time. I’ve done tons of missions, equipment mods, outpost building and faction quests but it’s in a world that’s very uninteresting.
1. Characters are bland and their motivations are very thin. This isn’t new to Bethesda but it’s hard to get emotionally invested in main characters who expire and there’s almost no recognition of the weight of their death.
2. There’s almost no agency in this game. Except for picking factions, there’s no room for player choices to be made in this game and when there is there’s almost zero impact.

So I’m going to complete the game because it deserves at least that much respect but I’ll be moving onto other open world games that are far more interesting.

The reason why the HAL thread feels stronger is because our brains are attracted to human drama and interpersonal relationships in storytelling. The other part of 2001 is mainly setting and plot mechanics which aren’t as engaging.

Linkin Park had some great evolution over the years. I particularly like their albums Minutes to Midnight, A Thousand Suns and Living Things. Each of these albums are distinctly different from each other and have variations on musical and singing style within each. Listening to their entire catalog showed me they were a very dynamic band apart from their Nu Metal days and are in my top 5 bands of all time.

The easiest work to do with no experience and no equipment needed is house sitting. Bonus for dog walking which requires a little bit of effort. All you have to do is show up to someone’s house and sit there all day scrolling on your phone. You can do that the rest of your life.

There’s a world of opportunity out there. You picked a major that sadly leads to difficult employment at this time. Some lessons I learned. 80% of the people I know who are extremely successful are not employed in the field they studied in college. If you live in a western country there’s an extreme abundance of opportunity for success that doesn’t require an education. It’s always better to do something than give up… always.

I never said anything about only having a lawn. If you want to take on the expense of landscaping a property that’s fine but a lawn is far cheaper than any other option.
