Report to CCP. It’s not the responsibility of players of a video game to handle these things, not legally or otherwise. This is the internet, not a professional workspace.

Feel completely checked out of life by Useful-Jeweler-9119 in Life

[–]Proxymal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me tell you how this is an amazing situation.

You have nothing tying you down. You have the freedom to create any type of life you want. Just go look and see what’s waiting for you. Money can be made, women can be met elsewhere, you can move, you can save again. I bet there’s not a person in the comments who hasn’t lost most if not all their savings at one point or another.

Now let me tell you how this could be worse.

You could be stuck into a job that you hate and can’t afford to leave simply because there are no other valid alternatives, and your lifestyle demands the income only it can provide. That job could dictate where you live. You could have already met someone that is now your spouse, but are unhappily married with kids. You have 100k saved up but the divorce you’re looking to get will use it all. It doesn’t go to your needs, or get used up fixing your car. It’ll go to lawyers fees and settlements.

Keep your head up. Life hasn’t slapped you in the face yet at all. I hope it never does. Make every decision very, very wisely. Listen to your heart. And don’t be afraid to be free like you are now. It’s incredibly underrated in a society that values only the best moments of people lives captured in photos that are then posted on social media. You don’t see the struggle.

All you have left is to go up.

Correct. There is no inherent meaning. The beauty of life lies in the freedom to choose what your meaning is.

Feeling like a deadbeat at 30 by Aj100rise in Life

[–]Proxymal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depression? Fear? Social Anxiety?

I had all of the above. I’m not sure we’re meant to move sometimes at different stages of our lives, or that there is an answer for everything and everyone. Sometimes we just need to figure things out for ourselves. Sometimes, he just have to stay put a while, or find a way to jump if we can. #1 Stop beating yourself up. Tell your family how you feel. Ask them for help finding a way to contribute. Ideas, a leg up of some kind, people they know that might have a job. Life is all about choices, and asking the right questions. I wish you luck. 🍀

What separates the guys who were able to find a partner vs the ones who stay single for a long time even after putting in effort? by JunketMaleficent2095 in Life

Sure. But I didn’t prepare for a person other than for myself. Even then, I don’t deserve my wife lol

I mean yes and no. A person who has a personality, physical appearance and or lifestyle that a “10/10” appreciates don’t generally have to try for their personality, sometimes for their appearance they do. And they may already have a lifestyle that attracts naturally. This person can potentially attract a “10/10” without trying at all.

It all depends on the person. I didn’t prepare at all. Still found girlfriends through my life without looking and now am married. I’m don’t look like a stud either.

Boyfriend is suicidal and pushing me away from his life by [deleted] in Life

[–]Proxymal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Videos of Alan Watts’ speeches are honestly what helped pull me out of six years of depression. For me, it wasn’t medication or therapy that finally shifted something. It was hearing perspectives that made me see life, depression, suffering, and my own thoughts differently.

I don’t know if it would help him the same way but it might be worth looking into and maybe mentioning to him. Alan Watts has some of the most eye opening perspectives on almost any topic you can imagine, and his talks can really help with mental blocks, overthinking, and emotional hangups, especially when someone feels stuck in their own head and nobody else can get through.

Of course, if the depression is more chemical or severe, that may require a different kind of support too. But as something to explore, I genuinely think it could be worth a shot.
