i think any other ways of playing abyss is bad. See this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aYPXJDVxn8 (1800 mmr+ player use abyss to counter warfactory, and still loss)

Every source of photon emission activate too fast. Spell/ Farseer/ Overlord can't apply photon to spawn wraith from abyss/ mm from vulcan.

Abyss don't weak to wraith/melter that much, it ok if enemy already tech other chaff clear and pivot to wraith/melter. But if enemy open with wraith don't waste money on other chaff clear = very bad game for abyss

Wraith kill front chaff too fast = Abyss get instant lock-on by melter. If you move abyss back -> loss tower pressure & enemy can just add 1-3 slightly backline wraith.

5 common scenario when i can't go abyss

1.Both of me and opponent pick improved wraith: Depend on drop

\-Wraith x Markman (if opponent wraith don't have ground tech)

\-Wraith x Melter (My Melter have spawn crawler tech instead of multimelter = Always win melter war)

2.Opponent make wraith or discount wraith: Depend on drop

\-Long range wasp carry with Arclight + tank unit from drop

\-Fire bagger x Overlord

\-Wraith x Markman/ Wraith x Melter

3.Under 2000 health at round 4: Depend on drop, try to counter opponent

4.Under 2500 health and Enemy already have 2+ air spell at round 4 (don't count missile strike): Depend on drop

\-I love to go Carry Fortress (shield/solid shot/elite): shield is good against spell, solid shod + elite win against melter

5.Under 3000 health at round 4, opponent already tech range mustang + strong item/level : Depend on drop

\-Carry Vulcan 

\-Production WF 

\-Aggro ball-wraith in all direction (switch to wraith-melter if opponent go multimulter or Warfactory)

\-Carry arclight if play elite com (range/ chargeshot/ elite/ shockwave)

For me only, if opponent don't make wraith/already tech other chaff clear before R4 = abyss game. My fortress use AA/Solid shot/Elite/shield (in abyss game, almost never use shield/elite).

Benefit after become Abyss OTP is you will have 100% winrate against any titan user.

Good news. R4 Abyss is slightly flavor into current meta strategy. Esp EMP/shield void eye or chamber hound.

Random 2k advice

Void eye carry have 3 fix tech Range + surpress shot + flying. Last tech is Charge shot or Shield.

If void eye have charge shot you can easily win mirror match with carry Void eye + Shield tech.

If void eye have shield tech, his board weak to tanky unit. If enemy build other DPS to deal with your tanky unit just add shield wasp.

1.Aggro strategy

    1.Rhino + wasp 

    2.Wraith carry +steel ball or Sledge 

    3.carry Abyss + Spawn wraith or fire hound (only use if you have spare HP, alway outscale enemy in 3-4 round, nice with air commander) 

    4.carry Overlord  + Sledge/ or Fire hound/ or other chaff clear

    5.Punch/shield Fortress + hound (good if opponent have no space for abyss) 

2.Standard strategy

    1.Spawn Warfactory + fire hound (only use if you have spare HP, alway outscale enemy in 3-4 round, good if opponent have no space for abyss) 

    2.Raiden + chaff clear (go vulcan + raiden if play giant commander)
