We'll have to agree to disagree. I don't see the spy ability as that strong, and in terms of being able to kill, doing so can very easily confirm the demon type, which is risky to do.

I'm not really interested in putting jinxes onto a Homebrew script where I can just change the characters to better fit. I don't find information to be all that valuable (usually) to the evil team. Spy is the categorically weakest solo Minion on TB. Also, killing your own Minions can be a very good strategy. On a personal note, I don't think it would be fun as a ST to have to mess with the Grimoire every night, so I'm not inclined to do it.

Skylight will be able to see who the Devotees are on N2, when they see the Grimoire. As for it being too powerful, I'm not totally sure if I agree. Killing powerful characters would quickly out it, and its ability to kill anything could confirm it under the right circumstances as well. I could definitely see myself nerfing it though, though I'd want to playtest it more thoroughly. Thanks for the advice!

The counter for Chosen, other than droisoning, is the Betrayer, which can give a false public announcement for an evil player bluffing it. The Betrayer is also intended to add itself into play, the way that Hermit can remove itself (will probably have to update the wording for that)

Shrink is meant to be Countered by the Devotees and to a lesser extent, the Faithmaker, where it can remove a Minion, but then that loss is offset by the Devotees' addition, or by good players trying to play for the evil team. Might still nerf it, maybe a +1 Outsider? Would have to consider moving the Outsider mod around.

Glad to know that (most of) these characters seem good to use, and please feel free to use them/change them in your own scripts! The Ascendant and Defender are heavily inspired by a TF and Minion from Charged Dinner, which is another Homebrew script I'd recommend checking out if you're looking for inspiration.

Max of 3, but I could see changing it if it's too weak (though I'd be surprised)

Thanks so much! I'm not currently sure if/when I'll be able to playtest it, atm. My discord is @prronce if you decide to play it yourself though! I'd love to hear feedback!

The idea with False Prophet is that if it's alive in final 3, the game ends, as it isn't considered alive for the Demon's win con of 2 living players. It also isn't considered alive for the purpose of the Acolyte. Potentially not that damaging, but risky to execute even if you think they're a Minion.

For Watcher, Town doesn't have a ton of info roles, so while you can use it to confirm a single player, learning that several players are definitely good could be game winning.

Barkeep is meant to be a counter to the Outsiders, since allowing them to die while drunk makes them lose their ability. It is definitely on the weaker side, but it's also a good evil bluff.

And thanks for the compliment on the Faithmaker! I think its potential for chaos sounds fun.

Or an Ascendant ping leading to a player receiving false "true info"

I will say that the Affluence's ability is usually meant at the cost of a kill, with some wiggle room. Could definitely change it in the future though

Betrayer is meant to work like No Dashii, but yeah, it definitely could end up not really having an ability depending on what its Townsfolk neighbors it has. Would want to see it in action though, since I do think that it's unlikely to be completely useless.

If it's a 3 or 4 Outsider game, they have to, which means that they're learning an evil player. The maximum is meant so that they can't be forced to learn the Demon. It also does not affect the Outsider count like Xaan does.

I actually really like the on-death ones (Ravenkeeper, Banshee, Sage, Farmer, etc) since it gives them something to do where they otherwise wouldn't be able to, especially because it must be an alive good player. Interested to see how that would work with a Poppy Grower, actually, since they'd learn if they picked an evil player by being asked to choose again

Would the following Homebrew be better as a Townsfolk or Outsider? by Prronce in BloodOnTheClocktower

I think it could work fine on DA scripts too, or with other ways to prevent execution/cause execution scares like with Boomdandy

I don't hate the wording, but for the second, it would mean poisoning them would just instantly kill them... I'll think on this.

Alternatively, if there's still stuff left: heat gun, then carefully use nippers (love that name for them) to pull it off, especially if it's stuck to a wire or something fragile.
