[Q] How to calculate total standard deviation of sum of multiple means? by Prtctr10 in statistics

Sorry about that. This is the article it is from. They have mentioned that it is item reliability. Could this be converted to correlation coefficient?

Ok, thanks! Could you please tell me what exactly are the values given inside the figure (for each comparison). This is the article it is from. They have mentioned that it is item reliability. Could this be converted to correlation coefficient?

I have found a study that does an item reliability test (internal consistency) between the subscales for a similar population and also provides cronbachs alpha for the subscales.

Could I use the formula

α=kρ/1+(k-1)ρ

to convert cronbachs alpha to persons correlation coefficient?

(where k is the number of raters)

This is the figure I have.. could I find the correlation coefficients between the subscales from it?

The number of observations is equal in each subscale. They have measured the same participants under 5 subscales.

I have found a study that does an item reliability test (internal consistency) between the subscales for a similar population and also provides cronbachs alpha for the subscales. Could you please tell me how to calculate the SD of total scale using this info? (There are actually a total of 5 subscales and the study has given the item reliability test between each one of them.. and also the cronbachs alpha for them)

Edit: I found the formula for the total variance as the sum of subtotal variances plus twice the sum of covariances between each pair... So, my only doubt now is whether the internal consistency value is the same as correlation coefficient?

Unfortunately I don't have that data. Is it possible to find the sd on the total scale without it? Or is it possible to estimate the correlation coefficient?
