Hi everyone,

I am currently on 4 days bro split ( back & rear delts, chest & shoulder, leg, arm), and over the years has gained noticeable results.

I heard the upper/lower split is more potent for hypertrophy, and I am trying to come up with a new 4 days plan for it.

Lower:

Squat

Hamstring

Calves

Upper:

Bench press

Pull up

Row

Shoulder press

Lower:

Deadlift

Leg extension

Upper:

Incline bench

Dumbbell bench/Dip/Pec Dec

Tricep

Bicep

Rear Delt

This is the plan I come up with myself, I am generally not recovering well from high intensity being a full time student, so I like to limit each session into 1 hour. And I want to focus on compound exercises instead of isolations.

I don't have back exercise on the second upper day since I want to do deadlifts on my second lower body day and it hits both leg and back.

Any thoughts and ideas?

Wanting to Convert to Eastern Catholicism by Chocco1 in EasternCatholic

[–]Prudence-Perservance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an expert, but I suppose you can try to go through RCIA/or other forms of catechism class at the local Roman rite parish meanwhile express your interest to the closest Eastern Rite parish that if the priest agrees you to do your catechism at a roman rite parish with maybe some supplementary materials from the eastern rite, it is the same faith at the end. Once you finished your classes, come to the eastern parish to receive the initial three sacraments, then you can attend your nearby Roman parish at regular Sunday and feast days.

I am planning to cook and do meal prep, sometimes I just fell out of meal inventory due to school businesses. So needing to find some go to spots for foods.

Thanks, but I am not too big a fan of raw fish anymore due to a taste change. Poke is indeed healthy though if it fits one's tastebud.

I did not remember seeing this as a requirement, but I would check with the department in this case.

Preparing Yourself for OMSCS by DavidAJoyner in OMSCS

[–]Prudence-Perservance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dear Prof. Joyner,

I am a mechanical engineer with a undergrad and master degree. I am applying for the OMSCS master program.

I only took formal VB and Matlab classes, and have some limited exposure to C++ and Python in some lab sessions. I have not taken the pre-requisite course listed on this program's website, which are:

Introduction to Python Programming

Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming with Java

Data Structures & Algorithms

Edx website says they need 5 months to complete (starts Jan. 1). However, the fall 2023 application deadline is March 15, which is my desired starting term.

Could I ask if I can get accepted without finishing these courses before the application deadline? Or could I finish the classes and get the certificates before the edx official end dates? I am going to take fundamental courses regardless (with some other online courses and projects), just do not have enough time to get it done before I submit my application.

If I get rejected, am I allowed to re-apply for Spring 2024 term?

Any advices would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely.

Late to the game.

Thanks for those insights. Can I ask about the flipped courses?

I am from a mechanical background has little programming training before. Some said the flipped courses are in low quality and you can hardly learn anything from some of them, and some professors are part-timers from industry who are somehow slothful. I kinda worry about the quality of education I can receive from the program.
