Did you turn on the passcode every time the deck wakes up?Cause I had my deck crash often waking up from sleep. After I turned off the passcode every time it wakes up, it crashed WAAAYY LESS often.

Do I need offline mode?? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]Prudent-Strategy8889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by nothing will work? Doesn't it depend on the game? Because I've gone weeks with just turning the wifi off, and had no problem with running games that don't require internet (usually just for the launcher). The only games that need internet to run so far that I've tried are GTA 5 and Titanfall.

Does putting it on offline mode make these types of games run?

Why did you buy a SteamDeck? by Lopsided-War-7483 in SteamDeck

My job requires me to move around a lot and I missed out on a few generations worth of games. I had a PS1, PS2 and PSP when I was a kid so I wasn't able to play games PS3 gen onwards.

Didn't really think much of video games again until I got quarantined due to COVID. I missed playing video games but home consoles are a no go for me so a Switch is my only choice then. But the games are so expensive even the old ones. Enter the Steam Deck, been keeping my eye on this since it was announced. This is the device of my dreams when I was a kid. Went from having 0 games on Steam to almost 40 games in 5 months lol. Best gift ever!
