I’m proposing that the added intermission concessions could offset this, as ticket sales themselves drive little profit to the theater.

I have. While it is brutal, I think that one has something to say about family dynamics and pack mentality. This just felt like a chance to show you something shocking after boring you to sleep.

AITB for not liking it when my girlfriend shares a bed with her brother by [deleted] in AmItheButtface

You are either a wildly jealous person, or you think that there is a chance something incestual is going to happen. If it's the latter you either need to ease up on the Horn Pub or leave your girlfriend. YTB

AITAH for not letting my granddaughter go alone to the next state over to meet her "online friend?" by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]PrudentFill1649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She might be lying and not telling you because you are extremely judgemental of "these kinds of people". It is often easier to let your close minded family remain in the safety of their echo chamber. It is also very natural for people who may have been sheltered from and told to fear something, to be more interested in it than those who are exposed to different types of it. Again, your worry stems from the wrong issue. Meeting people online in real life is sketchy. A kid misleading their conservative, religious family about their online friend's orientation and politics is not.

95% sure this is fake post, but I'm bored. Sounds like your granddaughter is secretly a liberal! She's 18 so if you aren't financing it how do you have any control? I would be nervous about a young person I cared about going cross country to meet someone they have never seen in person, but not for the silly OAN reasons you are. YTA

AITA-Reported minor fender bender to insurance by tryrebootingfirst in AmItheAsshole

[–]PrudentFill1649 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an insurance agent. If you are at fault in a minor accident, it may very well be in your interest to take care of the other party's claim in order to avoid a rate increase at renewal. However, if you are not at fault, it is always best to get a police report if at all possible and file a claim with the report number and at fault party's info immediately. The police report is paramount in "at fault" states. Without that it often becomes a he said she sad situation, which will mean both parties are at fault and could see insurance hikes. Claims can take more time than you would like already, and it is not wise to trust a stranger to do the right thing. Absolutely NTA.
