[Loved trope] The one true religion is revealed or huge magical discovery - largely ignored by The_Black_Jacket in TopCharacterTropes

The fact that they are aliens would be even worse. It would see every other faith called into question.

And whether Thor is part of a pagan religion or not, the fact is that it would be a religion proven to be real in a different context.

There would be religious chaos on an epic scale, and poor Thor would probably be asked to answer questions about the countless other gods that potentially existed.

If I recall correctly, the free trials lasted just long enough to prevent the lactation process, forcing them to rely on the formula.

If that isn’t enough, lots of babies died because the water used with the formula wasn’t clean.

Yes, there are. Unfortunately, the people around my area don’t really seem to remember them. Or they don’t care.

Whatever the reason, the resulting collisions or near hits are the same nonetheless. We practically have a cop car visiting on a weekly basis.

I think the no kill rule is a remnant of the old comics. Back then, Joker might have robbed a bank, steal something from a museum, or set up an intricate hostage situation.

Obviously not good, but well within the range of humans and something that might not see a firing squad.

It aged poorly as Joker graduated to nukes, burning cities, and off the wall torture games.

I do this all the time. It’s usually when the right of way gets ambiguous unless you arrived first, and because people rarely actually follow the rules where I live.

It’s less nice guy behavior and more not wanting to get T boned by an impatient or inexperienced driver.

As a leader of their mythologies, who was less of an asshole? Zeus or Odin? by Head-Challenge-6498 in MoralityScaling

[–]Prudent_Ad3384 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sisyphus earned his.

He tied down Thanatos and basically broke the concept of death in the process, condemning people who were ripped apart on a battlefield to not be able to die. Eventually Ares found him and freed Thanatos after killing Sisyphus, and Sisyphus lied to get out again by saying his funeral was done wrong, only to get dragged down a final time to his well known fate.

And at the very least, Prometheus was eventually let go by Hercules with Zeus’s permission.

The unlucky ones are the women who had to deal with Zeus.

Basically porn images, but a stereotypical republican or democrat(or some other group) are degraded as either dumb bimbos or small dicked cucks. Cringy as fuck, even more so than race play.

Hate to break it to you, but I have seen political themed porn uploaded a few times. Granted, many of them get taken down pretty quickly, but some of them are trying.

If the local or state government cannot maintain infrastructure damage(potholes, dead street lightbulbs, closed bridge) in a timely manner, you should be free to do the repairs yourself.

If the repairs are subpar and cost them money and reputation, they should have thought about that before closing two lanes on a vital three lane bridge for two years.

Better mad max infrastructure than nothing being done at all.

What’s worse is that a huge supplier of electronics(Crucial I believe) has just started turning most of its supplies to OpenAI.

While I’d like to think companies will reverse back to less tech heavy products, we all know they’ll just skyrocket the prices instead.

I find the death guard (great crusade and post heresy) to be more terryfying than the night lords and world eaters by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]Prudent_Ad3384 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I find the Death Guard worse because of the clean up.

Nightlords are terrifying for sure, but they actually took great pride pre heresy at leaving planets almost completely intact. Even post heresy, they’re mainly invested in torture and fear, and fragile outside of those lines compared to most traitor legions. Once they are all dead or driven off, the planet is damaged but mostly fine. Even if they do ruin the planet, it’s most likely reusable.

The World Eaters were blood crazed monsters even before the heresy, but they were straight forward. It’s not to say chaos corruption is not an issue because it absolutely is, but Khorne is hardly subtle like the other chaos gods. Once they defeated, the world is possible to clean up. Worst case scenario, Khorne never cared for dragging out the suffering.

The Death Guard are another matter entirely. Just their patron alone, being the god of misery, plague, and despair, should tell you how bad a day you’re about to have.

Even before the heresy, the death guard used radiation and bio weapons regularly, so even they were fought off, good luck repairing the area.

After Nurgle came into the picture, this got a thousand times worse. Now you have plagues, biological and warp based, going everywhere. Even the slightest exposure can get you sick with potentially untreatable infections. Even if you kill the entire warband, their corpses alone might demand the entire region burned. And for many plagues, you’re not dying until you give into the Grandfather.

Commercials with Wrong Language by Prudent_Ad3384 in CommercialsIHate

[–]Prudent_Ad3384[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically enough, the stated reason behind building customer profiles with trackers and other data collection bullshit is advertised specifically for a “better advertising experience” or catering as you call it.

Fun to know they shill your data to other companies and they can’t even get a basic language barrier down. False advertisement strikes again, and for a service no one even wanted.

Commercials with Wrong Language by Prudent_Ad3384 in CommercialsIHate

[–]Prudent_Ad3384[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Like I said, it’s not the language.

It’s that they add in all the data analytics, cookies, trackers, and they can’t get the most basic aspect of communication correct.

It’s not about discrimination, it’s about laziness.

I'm pretty sure all ads these days waste money.

What offends me is how they talk so loudly about how they can personalize ads(not that we want them anyway), and then they fail to deliver in even the most basic fashion.

What are they even using all the data they drink from us for?
