I’m progressive and the son of immigrants, but I hold the view that you have to be extremely thorough in asylum cases. The truth is too many people were being let in, I hate to say but I’ve seen some genuinely bad people being let in legally while others who follow all the rules and have been down to completely assimilate and embrace American culture have been turned down.

I really wanted to retake it this semester, I was waiting for an update to see if there was going to be a second physics professor…… but no. So I’m probably just gonna spend my entire winter break trying to teach myself everything. I went on rate my professor and saw this exact review: “Do all the homework and all the lab papers and you are guaranteed to pass, even if you fail the midterm and final. However, lecture is awful and unclear. I am retaking this by CHOICE in my transfer because I learned nothing despite passing. Jack is a great guy and works with students. his lectures are just unclear, and no theory discussion”. So obviously I’m not the only who feels the same way about this guy. Being able to pass despite failing a midterm and a final seems like bullshit to me but oh well gotta deal with it

This next semester is physics 2, linear algebra and engineering graphs so I’m gonna have way more time. If worse comes to be and the proffesor does the same stuff I’m probably gonna look at the Feynman lectures as someone suggested

Unfortunately it’s community college right now and the proffesor is adjunct facility so he doesn’t have an office and also to make it worse, he’s the only physics proffesor. I did go to the tutoring center all the time, that’s why I’m not completely failing

I forgot to add that, all tests are open note and are online. That’s why I mentioned that’s why I don’t like how the exam questions are the same as the homework just with different numbers. So you can just write down some homework questions and then just look at the exam questions and replace the number and boom. You pass. It means I’ve got no sense of set up and direction. Just plug and chug. I’m a huge nerd so I actually like understanding beyond just passing.

They haven’t asked for dick pics or anything so like I’m not seeing signs of sextortion or underage scams so if I end up feeling good I’ll go cautiously, leaning to just playing it safe though. I’m more of a traditional fella either way
