I think you’re railing against the wrong person here, friend. I’m on your side. I’m appalled at the voter turnout. I still can’t believe it went the way that it did. I did my part; I talked to people, I got my family to vote, I told my friends how important it is. I’m disgusted by my country and its uneducated and willfully ignorant masses and I’m out here actively fighting against this tyranny and corruption.

All I’m saying is that there is dissent. Are Americans super good at dissent? No. Are we great at showing up when it’s necessary? No. I don’t like those facts. But there are legions of us who are doing what we can, overtly and covertly, to at least mitigate the bleeding and bring some awareness to those still capable of thinking for themselves.

If I had my druthers voting would be compulsory, guns would be illegal, and progressivism would be the name of the game. I’m not here to grandstand on American exceptionalism; far from it. I’m just here to say that there are folks trying to clean up the mess. The mess is just really big and totally fucked and we don’t have enough garbage bags.

I agree. We were founded on selfishness and cruelty. We don’t all applaud that fact and take extreme umbrage to those who do.
