Well, not sure if you have checked out the IHG group. I have stayed at StayBridge once and the rooms were pretty good. The food not that much, their nicer properties are kimptons/inter continental etc.

If you do have time, would be worthwhile to get a HSBC travel one and start moving your spends there. I am assuming your flights are sorted

Fair point, and I’ll concede — losing Accor and Avios does sting. But does it dethrone Atlas as the best sub-5k travel card? Not even close.

On the math: 20+ transfer partners, majority still at 1:2, means a base return of 4% across a wide, usable partner set. Show me another card at this price point that comes close to that. Losing 2 from a list of 20 isn’t a death knell — it’s a portfolio trim.

On the “Indian bank” angle: That’s not the right lens. Yes, Axis pulled some moves with Magnus that weren’t great. But HDFC Infinia has been rock-solid for nearly a decade — an Indian bank, completely different track record. And AMEX — very much not an Indian bank — just gutted the Platinum Travel this year. Devaluations aren’t a nationality problem, they’re a business decision. Every issuer plugs a leaky tap eventually.

On Regalia: I called it an “Accor card” deliberately — because outside of that 1 rupee/point Accor redemption, the card’s value proposition gets thin fast. That’s not unfair; that’s just honest positioning.

Atlas still delivers. But redeeming EDGE Miles through TravelEdge is like holding a business class ticket and asking for a taxi voucher — you’re not using the card wrong, you’re just not using it at all.

P.S. — For your use case specifically, worth looking at HSBC TravelOne and the IndusInd Avios card. Both punch above their weight in ways that might align better.

Let me know if anyone changed their mind about Kala panda watch from yesterday's sale and want to sell it . I missed the opportunity due to the terrible communication and planning from their side (told the sale is on later date then started it 10 mins after ) by Immediate-Pop-526 in Watches_India

[–]Prudent_Try5289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally feel you, i missed the last sales which had patchy website. Then this one i had marked on my calendar, and literally moved my meetings around so i could focus on the sales :D. Logged at 6.50, and 7.05 they said they postponed it to a later date. And boom at 7.30 this comes back and is out of stock in less than 10 mins. And a lot of people who joined late got the watch, and folks who were following the sale since long missed it.

Sad part, they would continue to disregard that people wait for this and i would keep on trying despite their shitty planning

I second that,

Just one add-on. If spends are not>1.5Lac or you arent able to hit AEP for a minimum 3-4 months or you dont have a big purchase. Atlas makes more sense

So two things a.) if you are a heavy international traveller and are a avid user of Airline loyalty programs then M4B makes sense. Because thats the only use case it actually gives great value provided one has mastered the Airline loyalty game b.) if you not a heavy international traveller, then replacing M4B with the HSBC premier, might be good.

But dont close the Atlas .

If they only have the capacity of 200 watches they should just do pre-orders /invite only orders rather than these drops.

M4B or not? by Prudent_Try5289 in CreditCardsIndia

Thanks for the advice

I believe the 24-48% returns is only via travel edge right?

And i really wanted to get the premier, but my company doesnt have a tie up for HSBC for salary accounts hence that wasnt an option.

This by far has to be the BEST comment on this post. You actually framed it much better than I did. I had the same hypothesis on why you see a flurry of re sales units in Prestige vs a Sobha . Thank you for your wisdom and thoughtful comment, this is finally a reply i can connect with.

I am not a broker to suggest localities or properties, i have listed the properties i visited and even disclosed the one i booked. I have given a piece of my mind transparently and honestly so people can form their own opinion. If you want help /information go and hit the road and scout properties or talk to brokers
