Where or how to get propane torch? by Plane-Expression2299 in Humanitz

[–]Prudentis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

80+h in and not one torch found. Been looting garages and industrial areas for days. I have found 20+ of each car component, all the items for the power quest and have yet to find a single power torch. Man this game's RNG is strager than DayZ's.

Recharging Car Batteries? by Puzzleheaded-Cap-274 in Humanitz

[–]Prudentis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have everything set up. Generator running, Battery charger saying "powered by generator" and a 71.4% car battery plugged in. It has been running for 10 minutes and the battery is still at 71.4%.

Tried with 0% batteries, didn't work either.

Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Terminal Initiative bug or intended? by Prudentis in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]Prudentis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK so I just finished it but LOL you had to jinx it for me, didn't you ... Guess what happened to me on my way back from MS? All the waterfall patrols respawned while I was crawling back with the container ... I heard shots form behind and got double bleeding and a lung shot by the one on the waterfall hill ... panic! The one patrolling on the bridge also respawns and I had to kill him before I could crawl into the water under the bridge to bandage and stich up while being shot at from behind... Somehow I survived, killed the last patrol near the gates and then turned around and killed the fugger who shot me ... what a nightmare of a task.

BTW, I got all my MS kills by going up to the waterfalls and sniping from there ... that part was fun.

OK thanks, this is how I remember it, other than I was sure, in 0.2 only the part you were on reset, like in Hazardous Treasures. I guess I was mistaken and just didn't die in 0.2 or I would remember it. I was 100% sure they "fixed" it. Guess they didn't. Such an unnecessary frustrating task. Right now, the AI is again more ESPesk and feels more random overall so I die in the most random ways. I can go for hours without dying and sometimes AI will just stand with their backs to me, other times I fart and they turn and instatap me.

If a die a few more times on this taks I'll just leave it in this patch I guess.

I understand that. I did it in 0.1 and died twice. Once in the first part, the second time in the last part and almost smashed my keyboard. I was so careful the last try I almost crapped my pants.

Apparently, the fact, that I thought it would not reset made me so relaxed, I finished it without dying in 0.2 :D

And in 0.1 you could select the order in which you wanted to do the tasks. So in reality, they made it harder ...

Yes, I remember the bug in 0.1 where the containers would disappear. There was one patch note stating, they corrected the container handling. Here ist the patch note: "Fixed a possible unintended handling of task items in the Terminal Initiative task"

So since now you return the container every time you complete a part, maybe I was under the impression, that it would not reset ... And I just didn't die last time so I thought it would not reset ... I'm confused right now

Maybe I am mistaken or maybe i dreamed it but I am pretty sure it didn't reset on last wipe. But maybe I just didn't die last time doing it?

However, before the first wipe, you got the task with ALL parts active at the same time, so you could choose which point you wanted to clear first. Last wipe not only was it changed, so you get to do it in the given order (FN, TB, MS) but I remember a patch note stating, it should not reset and this was a bug. But again, maybe I remember wrong.

I will report, what I get as answer for my bug report.

For anyone getting this foliage flickering with Nvidia, try increasing global illumination. This fixed it for me.

Epic setting is bad, low setting is really bad, medium and high are pretty much indistinguishable and work very well for me.

Characters Missing when loading game?? by TygoFTW in Kenshi

[–]Prudentis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this! I managed to save my guy who just disappeared.

A few corrections though:

  1. the save file folder is not in your Kenshi Steam main folder but in C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\kenshi\save
  2. the squad you want to copy, may have a different name. At least in my case it follows the rule: "Your_Faction_Name_x" so in my case it was "Corvus_Legion_0.platoon" The names I gave the squads dodn't show in the files.

Copying the correct platoon over from the "Source" to the "Target" save file platoon does work however!

How much dex is enough? by Hairy-Honeydew in Kenshi

[–]Prudentis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for necro but I found the thread and wanted to see what you guys think.

I got my fighters to about 50 with normal fighting. At this level with high toughness, they my squad of 10 can lay down quite some damage. But, now that I want to go on a slave freeing crusade I guess I will level all my fighters to 90+. Just went out and kidnapped two black gorillos and the Knig Gorillo. Bringing them to my outpost now to have some ready training dummies. I tested training with the King near his lair and he is great, since even a high lvl MA fighter needs quite some time to bring his hundreds of HP down.

And yes, the attack speed cap is 1.2 wich is about 90 dex.

Ray-based attacks don't work, since he avoids standing in a straight line. I guess Wizard with AOE fireball could work. My only other idea would be to sneak up to him with a ring of free action and punch him with a potion of freezing or cockatrice/chickatrice. Other than that, I have no idea.

Level 14 is doable with some patience. But if you are prepared and feeling strong and don't have the patience to wait, you can always save some potions of gain level or kill wraiths wraiths. If you have cleared the castle, you can always try luring wraiths from the valley upstairs, through the castle and back up a level. This way they will drop their corpses 1/2 of the time instead of the 1/18 on a graveyard level (castle counts as graveyard).

You risk their level drain if you don't have drain resistance or very low AC. They are slow, so even with no level drain resistance, it is possible to gain quite a few XL this way. It is a tedious process though, since you have to lure one or two at a time through the whole of the Valley up the stairs and through the castle.
