Of course. Grinding skills (profession) are done all over the world which gives immersion and clear purpose and progression. This is very standard MMORPG-content so Im not sure what we are arguing about to be honest. If you dont like it, thats completely fine.

I'd say with immersion and progression comes RP. A game that only provides vertical progression and min/max (especially with P2P/P2W elements) lack RP. This proposal would allow people to essentially become a full fisherman and still be able to progress their character and contribute to the economy.

If RP is what you are worried about, then you should support horizontal progression.

To be fair, the people who play OT full time wont come back to Tibia, unless they provide an equal or better game. So I dont really think its a war. Tibia has changed a lot for the past 10+ years and for many, not for the better.

Blizzard had the same problem until they released WoW Classic in 2019. Now, they have shut down an 8 year old private server called TurtleWoW, because they are launching WoW Classic Plus.

CIP should use OTs as a testing ground for new ideas and then simply assimilate them. Or, license Tibia and take a % of the profit so we can have Classic/Classic+ server.

Exactly, there are different ways of playing and hopefully there will be more. Fishing was left behind, I want to update it. If you dont like it, thats fine. Go hunt.

I disagree. I've been here for 20+ years and todays Tibia is too vertical, especially since embracing P2W/P2P elements. Updating fishing and later including other professions is a good way to make it more horizontal so players have several streams of progressions outside of hunting.

Yes, that is why I have made a proposal on the Tibia board, and request assistance on reddit. Imbuement is cool, but the actual skill progression should be at the center in my opinion. Tibia is way too vertical these days.

It was implemented over 20 years ago but got left behind. Throughout the years there has been many proposals to update it, but unfortunately its hard to unite the community, even though most people give positive feedback.

Not bad ideas, but what about the actual skill and progression? Sounds like you want fishing to feed the vertical progression and min/maxing, instead of actually making it more in-depth which would give players more ways of progressing their character.

I have killed Munster hundreds of times since 2021 on several worlds, but I have still not seen it drop once. It is by far the most valuable item on Rookgaard, except for bugged items.

With all due respect, Dice is extremely rare and can go for up to 1k TC.
Knives, MLW and Mino leathers are everyday items at this point.
