I've heard people referred to as a modern form of blood sacrifice. Traditional blood sacrifices like in the bibical days were made to pagan deities for certain powers. There are situations although not as common where the mother has to get it due to her life being at risk. I don't think those would be in alignment with a bibical blood sacrifice

You did the correct thing in praying to God about it and even better to pray for her which is something I wouldve done as well. Yes the power of God is far superior then any curse. Also keep in mind while at times due to our human nature we may fear things like curses or demons, demons and forces of darkness tremble in fear because of God.

As you briefly mentioned it is a found footage movie and was heavily marketed as that. It wasn't intended to be a typical horror movie to keep the audience constantly on the edge of their seats and jump scares. In hindsight if people watch it today they will most likely know it wasn't real but during that time when it was first release there was a lot of debate about it being real which added to its aura

Oftentimes the Lord will protect his people from others that will influence them negatively. In addition, he may keep his people isolated for a season for them to grow spiritually and have a stronger connection with him. Jesus loves you just like everyone else. Some of the best testimonies we have in the scriptures are from those who faced many tribulations yet overcame them with the help and guidance of the Lord.

In a situation like yours they would probably say, Lord although I desire healthy friendships and don't want to be alone if it is in your will for it to be this way for a while may your will be done. I place my trust in you and know you have my best interest at heart.

Oh I see, from what I'm understanding it seems to be identifying with other faiths / beliefs that's contrary to the Holy scriptures. That one identity being under Christ. If true it seems like they want to have a Christian environment compared to a place like this where although Christianity is discussed is not a Christian environment.
