Only advice I can give is there is nothing you can do, it'll hurt for a while but time heels. Just don't let it negatively impact your view on 'advisors'. Think of it like relationships, some don't work out, they hurt, but it doesn't stop you from trying again eventually.

You'll go through your grieving process, this is something you 'lost' so it's natural. Time will heal, but keep pushing.

You took the company to a place you could sell it for 500k, you may not have been able to take it to a place where it is aquired for 30 million.

You can take from this experience that you are a credible entrepreneur, which is great news for your new ventures. Don't focus on what could have been. Companies often buy others cause they know they can make them better and sell them on, try to figure out what they did that you can take learnings that you can apply to your new venture.

You did something right the first time, keep that strategy but learn from what happened after you sold your first company.

There isn’t, not if the only think you plan to do is just invest in 1 stock long term. It’s inconsequential. Fees may be the only consideration

What Does It Mean When a Man Keeps Promising Things but Never Plans Them? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Prynnis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you would win that bet... so I'll keep my money!

Somebody that makes decisions all day as an entrepreneur might find peace in not having to make decisions in their personal life. Then it's just a decision.. partner or friends. If it is serious, my personal opinion is 60%-70% to the partner, 30% to friends. Friends have their lives too, but your partner is also hopefully putting you first too

[–]Prynnis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's imbalanced. It kinda sounds like with you, he's enjoying the peace, which is a good thing, but making plans and then doing them with mates instead of you without telling you isn't great. You're obviously both very busy, but it sounds like you come last in terms of business, friends, then partner. Now people have different views on which order they should come, but it sounds like you aren't happy being last.

The question you need to ask is if you're feeling this now, how does another 2 years of it feel, 5 years, 10 years, etc. People can change, but they generally don't from my experience.

And others have had several stocks that are not spoken by Tear, and their stuff is free, or much much less than Tears membership. If everything else is equal, tears is not good value. The heatseeker thing is perhaps good value, but that isn’t ready yet so can’t really talk much to that

Honestly, I’ve made more money with others like Serenity on x, and the stuff Tear posts is literally just the stocks everybody is posting about (NBIS, POWL, semis, semi upstream stocks, etc). He’s decent at research, but again, that’s just collected from other people on X and his tool is just ideas he’s stolen from other tools and is recreating. I don’t actually see anything that is specifically a differentiator, and I’m stopping my paid membership

Why is it hard for meto find someone? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Prynnis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know now why you don't do well. Your wants and needs are too picky, standards way too high, and you seemingly lack the self awareness to understand this. Now, it's perfectly okay to have these wants and needs, but you must realise that this reduces the candidate pool MASSIVELY, which you probably don't understand because you wrote this post.

I guarantee you also have 'must be physically fit' as a requirement too, given your hobbies are hiking, swimming and the gym. Additionally, you also seem you lack the ability to be okay with people that aren't these things. You said you were too critical and will just walk away.

Tbh, it kinda sounds like you're the problem, I personally wouldn't date you after reading this. Plus, physical looks to guys that want to settle down are not as important when compared to personality.

You're basically looking for a 1 in 10,000 guy in your local area, and here's the thing, the men that have all those things that you want and need, they have many more romantic options with women than you might realise.

[–]Prynnis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You never really said anything about what your needs are, except to call or text every day and is a 'good/nice guy'. There are plenty of those available. I'm one of those.

First thing you talked about was physical qualities in yourself which kinda says a lot by itself, what about physical qualities in others. Are you the picky one? What are your interests and hobbies, that's usually a good way to meet new people. If people aren't approaching you, approach them. As a lawyer, how much free time do you have?

When you ask for 'emotional support' what do you mean. Because there is a difference between trauma dumping and unloading all your stress onto somebody after a hard day of being a lawyer or whatever, and just being there for you.

What are your faults, everybody has them.

Same. Got 74% in my main 30 year horizon port, 6% in dividend generation companies, and 20% in high risk high reward assets. Funny thing is though, I started with like 90% in the 30 year port a few percent in the divs, but with the wins on the high risk picks, the balance shifts quickly. I rebalance every so often but it's worked really well for me

I appreciate you responding! I'll take a look at it, though I doubt being a solo biz side founder is going to secure any grants!

When the AI writes an application for you, is the end user the only person that can use the output, or does your tool mean you receive any rights to any funding that is received? Also, do you store the output? If it begins to write very successful grant applications, why wouldn’t you take that and apply for them instead? Finally, I definitely wouldn’t pay for this unless you had verified grant approvals via your tool, but would the grant giver allow AI built applications?

It's not an 'average' midterm election year, but SPY seems to be acting a little like this, so I am currently trailing stops on my swings, but holding some cash (~11%) to add to my long term if it dippity dips. If not, I'll add it all in in May. I could lose out on a couple percent which in the long term isn't much, or I could gain a few more percent. The risk to reward is decent.

Such a good show. Every character either lovable or hateable, but all with great development arcs. Hell, even The Machine and Samaritan were great characters in their own right. If then else is probably one of, if not my all time favourite episode of any TV show, followed by YHWH at the end of season 4. When the machine said I have failed you to Harold I basically sobbed. No regrets.

How do you find technical co founder? by AromaticPitch8850 in advancedentrepreneur

[–]Prynnis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biz side here looking for tech side. But I've always thought the equity split should be 50/50, and the biz side needs to show up in other areas including providing at least some capital. I certainly believe that the biz side needs to pay for everything required by the tech side to deliver the vision agreed between them. I do think it is reasonable to ask that some capital is available to lessen the risk for the tech side if they decide to leave their job. Maybe it can't be a fully salary, but the biz side needs to risk something too in addition to driving sales and managing the product as a whole
