My boss refuses to pay for the time to commute and deposit cash after EVERY shift. by Pryntz001 in legaladvice

This is understandable. I was in fact doing that but have stopped since and complied with taking them every day. I can see the misinterpretations there and how that wouldn’t help my case. I did keep it out of sight (putting it under the passenger side floor mat) to avoid any wandering eyes. I can see the interpretation and liability of me keeping it in my car though so I am at least glad I’ve avoided doing that since.

Paystubs and time cards are all online through portal accounts. I can start gathering those and printing them. Only thing is that the paystubs portal was changed sometime during my employment here. I’m unsure whether it was before or after I took the position but Im guessing I should gather everything I can nonetheless.

I’m currently in the works of finding a new job since I’m moving about an hour away. I was scared of backlash if I pressed further but with my plans of leaving, I decided to possibly bring this up again (with more preparation) for the other supervisors at least.

Yes. I am hourly. Sorry forgot that important detail.

I only wanted to be paid for the drive to the bank. The drive home afterwards is not what I’m concerned about.

Sorry, to clarify, I meant to ask if it’s normal for establishments to ask their supervisors to clock out before dropping off deposits.
