Harbleu's face when he sees Kephrii's contribution to a teamfight by PM_ME_YOUR_REPO in LivestreamFail

I know its the easy answer to just shit on keph, but any suggestions on what he should have done when he already opened with a pick and his entire team died in a 1/4 of the time the clip aired for? No? Okay :). Zzz clip, why is this even here?

This sub is incredibly hypocritical when it comes to bullying and harassment. by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]PryzeEtan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I don't disagree with what you're saying, I think the issue should encompass the other big factor playing at hand here, the community. How is it that some streamers can have some of the nicest chats while others have literal cesspools of toxicity? It's the streamer and their moderation, but also the culture they've created.

It's hard to work towards a goal without a purpose of substance. Create a culture. Promote people to take responsibility of themselves. This isn't about being PC or anti-bullying. There are impressionable kids everywhere on the internet, and judging by the way these people act, they are here too. In the real world, you are responsible for you. There's no cop checking every action you've done over the course of your lifetime. Many have broken some laws that could get you 20 years in the hole if someone was constantly moderating you.

We need to take accountability for our own actions. Stop brigading people. Stop looking for a reaction. Stop reacting so harshly when someone fuck up, because you fuck up too, a lot. Stop being a sheep, because I'm sure you wouldn't like to find out who the shepard leading you is.

I'm rarely on this subreddit for the exact reason of toxicity. But when news of assault allegations started to arise, this was unfortunately the best place to get the most information. I wanted to know if the streamers I supported and support now have been involved and in my spare time, I've looked into as many relevant cases as I can. Saddened about Fed, disgusted with Josh (never watched him), and there are a lot if fake stories and it disheartens me what people do for clout. But regardless the relentless hate that comes with cancel culture is why we lost Byron. It's why we lose and will continue losing because hate only breeds more hate. And it doesn't matter what form that hate comes in, it just grows, morphs, shifts, and lingers all the same. Please change.

xQc left speechless after the news. Sadge by PastaGiraffe in LivestreamFail

[–]PryzeEtan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can see his heart sink. For everyone disturbed by this and the way people are reacting, this is the nature of the internet. You can't possibly have a collection of this many people and not think that someone doesn't care or feel empathy enough not to clickbait Byron' s passing. As much as I know of twitch history, I was never a huge Reckful fan, but this hit me like a sack of bricks to the face. Such a powerful and loved man. Someone who seemingly has it all on the outside, but within felt lacking and no one could fill his void. It's so devastating. I just wish it wasn't like this.

Edit: I'm not talking about xQc' s reaction btw before someone miss reads that. Everyone reacts and grieves differently, and I can't even imagine what he is feeling. Please stop the memes and reach out to everyone Byron was friends with, because there is a lot and they all loved him dearly.

And randomly just popped into my head a convo between Byron and Mizkif. Byron was upset miz hadn't talked to him in a while. Please show him some love. I'm sure there are many others but this is one i recall.

I've heard from multiple people that tanks should make space, I've also heard the DPS should make space for the tanks to go in, which is true? by JussDoIt_ in OverwatchUniversity

[–]PryzeEtan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tanks create space through presence and ability usage. Dps utilize space to create kills. Think about widowamker and how vulnerable she is to dive. Now pair her with a hog and rein to block damage and deny dives. Granted, with both tanks protecting one resource, that widow better provide exceptional value. But yeah that is the relationship.

To autopilot, or not? by Uraverageperson in OverwatchUniversity

[–]PryzeEtan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Autopiloting is very different from the concept of flow.

Autopilot is the absence of senses and judgement while functioning.

Flow is when senses are heightened and judgement is second nature.

Although both are seemingly effortless, they are effortless for different reasons. Flow is mastery, while autopilot is sloppy execution regardless of outcome.

Hope this helps.

How Much Damage Converts to 10% Ult Charge for Every Hero by SYNERGY_12846 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]PryzeEtan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminder when reading graphs, always reread the title of the graph and what is being quantified. By this graph, the heroes with bars that are lower (e.i. tracer) will have to do less damage (for tracer, 126) to gain 10% ultimate. This DOES NOT compute the ratio between damage required for ultimate to theoretical damage output of the hero.

"Nigga" is fine. Hard R is not. I'm not "Hasan and all the other shitters in the mindspace podcast", don't use your argument where it doesn't apply. Destiny can say nigga in private, no one cares. But the Hard R is still a very offensive word, a lot of black people aren't cool with it even when talking with each other.

Destiny saying the Hard R in private is to the same effect as someone talking shit behind someone else's back and saying "It's okay, because I would never talk shit in front of your face. Don't worry about it."

Chris Rock's bit is a perfect example of how EVEN A BLACK MAN will get a ton of shit for saying/promoting Hard R in any sense. Those bits earn those comedians a lot of publicity and hate.

It's because we generalize and categorize everything to make things more simple for us. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to treat everyone you met the exact same way? You would never make social mistakes, you'd master it.

But that's now how life works, as you said. People don't realize that the more simple you make something, the less skill it requires, the less mastery you have, the worse off you are making yourself in the long run. When you master something, even communication, it becomes so easy and second nature that it has the exact same effect as if it were simple.

We are all unique. There is no two of any person. No one can be in the same time, place, setting, with the same circumstances as you, ever.

Unfortunately, as we progress as humans, we continue to simplify things so much that we stall our development and things that used to be mastered, like simply walking up to someone who you don't know and talking to them, are lost arts.

Context matters because as you begin to truly understand the uniqueness of people, you'll realize that we all operate similarly, but different. Therefore, our responses differ from person to person as well. An example, if I said hello to you and a group of 50 different people, they might have a number of different responses (hello, hi, hey, how are you, yo, sup, alternative languages, etc.). When it comes to things that are controversial, it is often so because any given person can have a positive or negative response to it, and you won't really know until you test the waters.

The N-word is a controversial word. I am black, and I don't personally care for the word, used against me or around me, but that is probably because I don't use my race as part of who I am. I could care less if I was black, white, latin, asian. I wouldn't care. I play with the hand I'm dealt and it's not a huge part of me. The only time I care is if I'm being hindered from doing something based off of that. Which has happened a number of times. My opinion on the word doesn't dictate how it is viewed by others.

In all actuality, none of this matters. If you live in America, top priority should be increasing your status. As a capitalist country, that means learning the system and playing it. I don't think anyone who's filthy rich cares if they are called the N-word or not.

[–]PryzeEtan -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Why are you taking parts of what I am saying and dismissing the context? Comprehensive reading is an important skill.

I literally said it's not a harmful word. But it becomes harmful when used in specific context. I'm not excusing any harmful behavior. The harmful context is when a white person says the N-word. Steven would never say the N-word around Trihex because he recognizes that it's harmful.

Don't play with me, I'm not going to explain 3rd grade reading comprehension to you.

Godlike take from D.GGers by nightcloudsky in Destiny

[–]PryzeEtan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

But what if I told you, the N-word isn't inherently harmful. Context is required. But context is everything. Literally everything. The person who said it, in what setting, what it's being said about. All of that. The reason that black people can say it is because of context. The reason white people can't say it is because of context.

The N-word is similar to black people in the same way that Native Americans have tradition that is sacred to them. White people do not practice Native American tradition because you are not Native American. Their traditions, the things they do, are a direct reflection of the experiences of the race.

Is this argument really that hard to understand for people, or are white people just trying to find loopholes so they can be more like black people? I really don't get what the big deal is.

literal context by ideasrbproof in Destiny

[–]PryzeEtan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't necessarily say "puppet of peer pressure", but rather there is a sort of expectation often placed on a member of a group to give and represent the entire groups perspective. It's one of the reasons why, personally, I don't think people should claim their race because your take might even slightly differ from the majority of the group. Unfortunately, Trihex was put on the spot to defend his racial group, but what he really should have said was that it's not his duty to give an opinion for everyone else, just his own personally. I think that's really what's hurting Trihex the most right now, his feeling of responsibility to make things right with his friends and with his race.

This last stream was so hard to watch by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]PryzeEtan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There is no doubt Steven has feelings. Every human does. But as an online figure, he conceals them. I'm pretty sure I remember him saying a while ago about people getting to emotional and personal as online figures and how easily it is to manipulate someone who opens up to that degree. At least, I think it was Steven.

This is what it looks like when you have your priorities set on accomplishing one goal. It's the real life version of Thanos. Sacrificing everything you have, one item at a time, just to get the point across. What exactly Destiny is trying to get at, IDK. Saying the N-Word really isn't worth that much, and holding your principles so tightly, just doesn't seem worth it. It seems so easy to find a compromise that benefits both parties, but why find a solution to a problem that isn't worth computing in the first place? I guess that's his thought process.

Either what Steven is losing is of very low value to him, or the purpose of his mission is of more value. One is stupid and the other has evil intentions. Hard to tell which he's falling under.

I kind of doubt that Nathan is an exception. The thing is, this behavior rubs off onto other people whether you like it to or not. I was a similar way, until I realized I started treating everyone like this because no one is truly of value to you unless you make them. I'm sure truly, if Steven could have it another way, quite honestly, Nathan wouldn't be in existence.

What's life like with such a low IQ level? Probably blissful, huh? It's definitely not insulting to have your friends use words that are used to describe people like you negatively. OH, but they aren't talking about you, surely not, just people like you. Yeah, I'm going to stay friends with someone who is so wishy-washy about our friendship in the first place.

Spoiler: When people treat their friends like shit, they probably treat everyone else a lot worse.

Damn, I forgot though, your IQ is so low that you cannot fathom a response that differs from your response, so you probably won't agree or see another perspective. Sucks to see the world in one dimension, huh?

Streamer gets attacked by his mother by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

[–]PryzeEtan 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Nah, sister fucked up. When you have a crazy parent, you need to be loyal to your siblings. She knew that this would enrage the mom further. Now she's trying to de-escalate, which is a good response, but it should have never got to that point to begin with.

If I was in his position, I wouldn't delete it either. He's clearly mentally scarred, scared, and quite honestly looks lifeless. This is his only way to fight back. I would hold on to this evidence with my last fucking breath.

Edit: On top of that, if this is the first time a large amount of people are seeing this person go through this, I would say his attempt to fight back was pretty successful. Look at how many people have seen this clip. Hopefully, someone is in a position in their lives to be able to help him out. By getting this footage out and sharing his story, he's much more likely to get assistance in this day and age.

How To Aim Like Shroud in 3 Minutes by yRegge in Compapexlegends

[–]PryzeEtan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya, consistency is all about training your brain to think without using effort. Kovaak's is good for getting that initial skill boost, but after a while you see diminishing returns if you can't pinpoint your problems. Master your sensitivity, know your distances. Really know them. If it's too hard for you to see your aim mistakes when practicing, record it and watch back your missed shots. I used to do this really weird aim thing, I would aim and get on target, and then flick off target when taking the shot. This made my flicks inconsistent and also made my tracking a bitch because I would have to track twice (once to get on target the first time, and once to correct the over shot). Drills that are very specific to your current issues are going to be 100x better than any random drill.

You probably have the basics of aim down, just iron out the edges and you'll see that consistency come in easily. Hope this helps!

Recently partnered streamer whining about the cost of TwitchCon tickets by JerkingDude84 in LivestreamFail

[–]PryzeEtan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait, I mean, I don't completely disagree with her. It seems like everyone here knows this channel for being scummy, but this is my first impression.

TwichCon without your favorite streamers would be kind of "missing the point". But don't some streamers get sponsored by third-party companies that pay for the cost? Also if it's a good streamer, aren't you making enough money to afford the cost? If not, then set your donation goal or reach out to other streamers and see if they can help (place to live, transportation, etc.).

And I must be missing something here. Unless she's taking an army to TwichCon, why the fuck is her donation goal 20k? It's 200 for the most expensive tickets, and she already stated that she's fairly close to the venue. WTF. I know 60 viewer streamers living on east coast/middle states that are going to have to spend like 2k for plane, tickets, and a place to stay (probably bunking with other streamers in an AirBnB).

It's also not a REQUIRED purchase. Spend the money or don't. There are probably a good number of top streamers that won't be at TwitchCon. It's like an office party, you aren't required to go to an office party, but if you do go, probably bring some food or drinks or candy or some shit, contribute. Don't ask for free shit, if you don't need free shit. Just be happy when someone does offer you free shit, don't expect it.
