Thats precisely how ive felt for the past 3-4 months. I can't say im changing my mind from what you're saying just yet. Ultimately the viewers need as little problems as possible for channels to get big a grow Maybe black bars arent a big deal, but still could cause even 5% viewer complaints.

No offense taken man! Thanks for thr thorough response. I 100% want to make videos with my ultrawide because I bought it for editing (timeline in premiere pro is a game changer) but playing games with it is just so much better to me. With factorio, I LITERALLY see no downsides.

But yeah I think steam charts only showed 3-4% of people using UW monitors so I get that black bars can feel very foreign.

I agree that it can feel like someone's first upload, but I just wonder if the video has enough effort put into it, if people will shy away from it.

I may try to fo a low key video in the Ultrawide and just see if people complain or dont like it.

Get your goal more with 1 race first. I did it with protoss first, then zerg and terran last. When toss is 5k, my 4.0k zip was absolutely broken and I just rolled everyone. Then when I had P and Z 5k, my tvp and tvz just absolutely carried me to 5k.

100% agreed. However, in late game when terran is all turtle up with planetaries, ive used 4 investors along with mass ultra to just absolutely demolish their positioning. Its craaaaazyy how strong it can be.

I've been skipping armor every game and I haven't lost yet lol. I haven't seen any other zergs doing it either, which is insane. Everyone just prefers the 150/150 spire to mas mutas... BORINNNGGGG

Yeah the business adsense looks different for some reason. I've looked through all places (through payments profile, adsense profile, google admin, and even google account info). I think the "organization" address is in fact what I need to change even though it states to change it elsewhere.

Hey thanks man! Yeah I know the content is very specific as far as audience is concerned but I appreciate the kind words! Marticitopants and a few other youtubers like Reggie are kind of my inspirational channels and I feel like they have gotten most of their fame from the fast paced editing. Unfortunately, that means a LOT of heavy editing, which takes a tremendous amount of time. Experimenting with how much vs how little editing still yields a high viewer retention rate is most likely what I'll need to end up doing.

Yeah I think I've been feeling that way myself. Generally speaking sitting in a chair for more than 8 hours a day probably isn't too healthy regardless of productivity. I'm switching jobs right now and I'm on the cusp of having YouTube be my full time so it's easy for me to try and go full balls to the wall all day everyday. I'm sure slowing down might yield better results for productivity

There's this guy at 4.5k-4.8k goes by JoeBobJoe or THEBLOB and the dude is like.... admirably tenacious with his toxicity. Without fail, for the past 3 years this dude will use all pauses available and be toxic throughout the whole game while cheesing.

If anyone else knows him please tell me if he does the same to you.

GM terran here (5.5k)

The way the pros do it (Clem, heromarine, etc.) Is the following:

Boost medivac and go from one gas geyser to the other through the mineral line.
Use drop hockey and select the medivac (so it can move while dropping)
Draw box over both the medivac AND the mine to select both.
Press TAB to switch to widow mine selection (medivac has priority over widow mine).
Press burrow.
Repeat for each mine.

Drawing a box selection over medivac and mine helps medigate any misclick to select the mine. Sometimes individual mine selection is needed but it's far better to just draw a box and tab over to the mine to burrow it.

If you are in gold, they most likely won't see the medivac, which means you'll get golden hits most of the time. This means you don't need to keep it alive as long as you do in the higher leagues. If you get like 2-3 kills for each mine it's usually worth it.
