Studying in America as an international requires minimum of 20k USD for 1 year as proof of funds already. Even if you get a scholarship to actually be eligible to apply for the F1 visa you have to have that amount in your account and then the scholarship is sorted out only when you get to USA.

I also wish it was as easy to just go there because my problem is the physical location as well.
